Would love to see something on shore fishing bass in SW Washington. Not everyone has a boat.

That is a difficult one since most all of our lakes do not have enough public access. On top of that, the public access that is available does not offer enough structure and habitat for the bass. That said, I will see what I can do.

@@ridgetoriveroutdoors thank you! Kress Lake in Kalama used to be very good, but most of the largemouth population seems to have died off this winter. Used to reliably catch a couple 3-5 pounders weekly, in 2023 I’ve caught a total of 2 bass there, and fish it weekly. Really sad.

what size are those plfuger reels? thank you

Thank you for the question. Most are SP35. I do have a few that are SP30. I use the SP30's for rods under 6'7". I use the SP35 for rods over 6'7". Either works well. The spool capacity on each is plenty. For me, its more about balancing the rod with the right size reel so I do not feel fatigued casting and retrieving all day. I do the same for the rods the clients use. I hope this information helps.

Every lake in W. WA is lined with homes with snooty folks lookin at you like fishing is a crime…

99.99% of the folks that live on the lake who see us fishing always ask how we are doing and they love to see us hook fish in front of their house. Even the ones on Lake Washington in the multi million dollar homes.
