Hi - hope you like this experiment in fishing storytelling. You asked for longer episodes, so here it is, 28 mins! Fishing Tales is very popular on social media, especially Facebook and I know that you have enjoyed it here on this channel. I've chosen KZbin to host the deluxe version of the first podcast so please subscribe if you like it!

Looking forward to this one and to binge watching all your other videos. I remember meeting you in the Glasgow angling centre about 5-6 years ago and you politely allowed me and my daughter to have a picture taken with you (which I've still got) so thanks for that. You where a inspiration to me as a young boy growing up. I learned a lot from you and Mick over the years about fishing and I still haven't lost the passion I had when I was a boy. Very enjoyable, I really like the way you tell tales of days gone by without getting all misty eyed for how things were. You have really made me want to head back to an old estate lake in Upminster i used to fish as a kid in the early 90s called parklands. We used to use 7lb straight through mono line or what ever we could afford with a float and luncheon meat as hook bait fished close to the lilly pads, island or close under the willows hanging over the lake. Being wild carp they were never big but looking back now at the time they were massive and the fights were legendary. I visited a few years back and the old beautiful lake has not changed at all apart from many anglers now using bite alarms. Your podcast has definitely made me want to revisit as i found out the old dark wildies are still in there however i think i maybe one of those anglers with the bite alarms lol. Thank you for bringing back my memories 👍👍

I think that the Duke would choose pike, perch, zander, eels, roach, Rudd, tench
@davidmartin45555 жыл бұрын
@@MattHayesfish definitely eels lol. Personally not a big fan even though my father used to eat them alot 😜😜. Took my boy fishing during the summer for the first time i can only take him when its warm due to his disabilities lucky bugger caught a 20lb common on his 1st go lol i think he would have king carp in his lake 😁😁

Well, this is where the old school gets a new lease of life. Pod cast with a few visuals, and all other images flow from our imagination. Such a refreshing change from seeing endless fish being banked from this angling celeb, or that. (Of course I love to follow a few individuals through their careers). As for e dream lake. Well, being a regular on commercials, I've got tired of F1's and carp up to low doubles all day. So, for a change, I'd be looking at roach, rudd, tommy ruffe, gudgoen, a few chub, and some specimen bream. Oh and of course a reasonable head of crucians. All the best Matt. Glad to see you're still keenly in the picture.
@MattHayesfish4 жыл бұрын
Cheers Graham. Yes, it is old school and it’s part of an evolving project where I combine narration with stills and video to create stories that are a little bit different to a straight tv type show. My plan is to remake out of town.
