I noticed on the drone shot at the end that there were square waves on the rough side meaning if you or them had fallen in on that side, it would have been very bad. Square waves are and can be very deadly. Glad you both made it back safely. Couldn't have my 2 favorite tubers be in danger.

Thank you for sharing! This is a great example of how dangerous that jetty can be! Listening to the local scanner you would be surprised at how many calls come out per week for stranded anglers or ones in grave danger out on that jetty!

Just search "Galveston South Jetty" in Google maps and it will take you right to it, BUT I wouldn't go unless you have some jetty shoes or boots.

I have never fished the South Jetty and might have to try it but was wondering if a young fella like you might take say 500 bags of Quickrete and drop them in those gaps in the jetty? Didn't look all that far of a walk, one bag at a time, 80 pounds, and it would be plugged in no time. Report back when it's done! Great video, awesome tunes as always, thanks for posting.

Instead of nearly killing yourself trying to skate down the jetty have you ever fished the end of the seawall where it ends? Try it next time. When you got to the jetty parking lot did you notice the little Ford Escort or whatever already there? It's not that bad getting there. You're thinking of the other end of the island where you will get stuck with 2WD.

You don't really need a 4wheel drive vehicle for most of our beaches. Just keep a steady slow pace and don't stop unless you know it's hard.
