@@angleseytightlines2918 wrasse can also bite you off with those huge dentures they own bud, especially if its a big one that's inhaled your bait. Chances are there's monster wrasse down there, but the smaller ones are nailing your baits first. Every wrasse I see being caught, or caught myself has been released like you do, and over the decades, iv caught and released 5-6 pounders around Ynys Mon, and I bet you've done the same. The smaller ones will be hungrier though, they breed so need more energy. King wrasse also tend to be solitary fish, so targeting those is harder and requires more patients, and it could have been one of thise that bit you off.

There is a reef in the middle. It is good cod mark, low water small tides end November
