Thanks for showing how you load. I load my 75lb sea ghost by myself on my Subaru. But I put the bow in between the first and second bars. Then I lift the stern onto the rear bar and then slide the yak on. Pretty easy. Better luck next time on the stripper. When do you think the best time of year is for halibut on the bay?

Hey, better than a towel is a bath mat. It sticks to the car better, doesn't slide off so easily.

Abither tio, loading the kayak. I carry a small block or brick to keep it from sliding backwards on the ground if you are in an area where the back end keeps sliding.

Nice video thanks! I don't have a lot of fishing tips for anyone, but this reminded me that I won't take a hook out of a halibut without plyers. ER visit cured me of that. They love to flop at the wrong time!

Still some very nice halibut at 4-5 mile beaches here in Monterey . Just have to pick the days without wind . Also Bluefin if you have the time and gear . Big Bluefins for those putting in some time working live mackerel.

I wouldn't recommend doing this in anything other than waterski flat conditions (which are pretty rare on SF Bay & change fast) & particularly not while trying to open boxes with new lures and tie them while underway...now, show us some 2-3 foot chop with whitecaps and a typical afternoon wind...good luck.

Adam What pliers do you use to cut braid? I had a terrible pair of very expensive Boomerang snippers...shape toe nail clippers. Resulted in not very good customer service/satisfaction on my ugly pair. Just cut way back where you said it can cut ... don't use the tip where it doesn't cut but only frays your 30 lb braid. I used it only 5 times.

Change out the hooks on ur kayak trolling plugs to J hooks, much safer than a treble in a small boat grabbing n handling the fish. Treble really gets buriend in the hand with several barbs. Single much easier to remove. 2/0 or 3/0 on smaller plugs. I like the double ring shank connectr to attach hooks to the eyes, much freer hook movement n further back spacing for deeper mouth hooking. Treble buried inthe body isa trip to the hospital Good to see all the young halibut nursery

Adam, I hope you adjust the speed of the lure, it's important as I'm sure is known. I can't keep up with tides like that but I always change here in Virginia as I can see you have 💪. The education is appreciated. You have the old town like I do, and we've talked about it. Here, the fall striper want it ripped and 30 plus are the goal I do have a truck and trailer, major benefit.
