Fishing the SHALLOWS for REDFISH (Snappers) to BBQ! Old Years Cook Up - Trinidad, Caribbean
Our last fishing trip for the year was a rough one...literally...lol...We set out on a half day mission to catch some fish to cook for our Old Year's lime.
However, it was a struggle as we had some terrible bait and the conditions were very rough! We battled it out for a few hours and did manage to catch one nice salmon (weakfish/white sea bass) and about 15 redfish (lane snappers). Just enough to put on the BBQ pit!
At the end of the video I added in some clips of the prep and cooking of the fish, plus a taste test and some other clips of the day. I left the GoPro with the squad to record and they got some good footage! Check it out!

Got a few reds, some red mouth grunt and a good size crevally. Oh and an eel too. Make some fish tea with the reds and grunt. I ain’t deal with the crevally yet. He go bake. Glad you got that Job bro! And of course that comes first! Glad to see you back on the comments! In terms of the rod, 5ft would be wayyy too small for surf fishing. You would need an 8ft minimum. Also the Tuff Tip combos are not that expensive...You should check Mankee's directly to see what is available.
