We're renting a camp on Caminada Pass in early April, no boat but they have a little dock. Do you have any suggestions for us? Thank you and thanks for the videos......

Yes. I would focus on fishing Elmers island beach. They have a shuttle that takes you after you park. Also the state park rock areas. That’s wade fishing. Not sure if you ok with that

Also find a lighted peer and try under light with live shrimp

Was great to see you and your wife at the grocery store last weekend T👍🏻 Thanks for the heads up about the right swim baits to use(pearl white), where to fish (the state park) and working the jetties. Kim/my fiancé and I caught 18 big reds and 6 trout that afternoon before high tide. Anyone who’s lookin to be put on the fish in this area needs to look up this man. Thanks again! We’ll be back VERY SOON👍🏻✔️🎣

Thanks Tommy! Very helpful video. GI sitting on an angle takes a little bit to get used to with the wind. Fought it that whole week in Feb when I passed you coming in to Bridge Side!

Tommy, Thank you for the very informative video. Lots of people are nervous about fishing Grand Isle with the changes due to hurricanes passage and changing water. In your personal experience, How long does it take for the water to clear up once the wind changes direction and also best time to fish with adjustments to 2 hour delay in tide difference from high to low tide at Cam. Pass.? I would use Cam. Pass as the main gauge for tide changes in Grand Isle. Thank you Tommy for all your videos and teachings of the island and the area.⚜️😎

I'm confused. Is it Carl or Tommy? Good video. What say you about this: The residents of GI say stay at the camp on a West Wind. For us Weekend Warriors - we don 't have that luxury. What say you on a West Wind?

West wind stronger than 10 mph I will not fish My first name is Tommy and middle is Carl. Long story. Lol

Love the vids Mr Tommy. Just got land on the island for me and my son so hope to be out there as much as possible this year. I’ve heard of the hole at the beginning of elmers island being a good spot but don’t know exactly where it is. I believe you referred to it as the gorilla hole

Yes. Nickname anglers gave it. It is actually a big sand bar where Caminada pass and the beach meet

Love your videos! For this weekend after this heavy north wind shifting east Saturday and Sunday, where do you think we might find some clean water? I was thinking of trying around Fifi and the rocks by coast guard station, or maybe behind cheniere and up toward lake Palourde. But I’m worried the water is gonna be dirty until at least Sunday - any tips?

Seems like the deeper water clears faster in the bay. Maybe around Queen Bess and the 2 tank batteries near there. It’s about 6 ft water. I have been catching a few there and Belle pass should clear up fast if you pull boat to Fourchon and want some reds

@@tommyvidrine thanks Tommy v - we had to many repairs to make at the camp today, so I worked instead. Going look for the deep water tomorrow after church. Lot of pretty green water about 200 yds off the beach today. I bet belle pass looks great this afternoon
