Do need to feel what is going on when using a crank bait. The lure is reactionary and fish will slam the bait!

The main reason I like to feel the bait during the retrieve is so I can feel the habitat. It helps me determine where the cover is. Sometimes the bite on a crankbait can be tricky and feeling the bait can be very helpful when it comes to feeling the strikes. Sometimes all your going to feel is that lure stops vibrating. When you fell that, Set the hook.
