Fishing Trip Outside of WHO-ville Then Whip Up a 24 Foot Trailer Sept 21 2023

to celebrate being #1 with our Living Remote book on amazon, we went fishing using the 48 chevy sedan delivery to a small lake just outside of WHO-ville. the only problem was some one invited 2 million sand flies so we were back in the Kingdom by lunch time. after lunch we whipped a 24 foot sided trailer. thansk

Fun looking time at the lake. Trailer came out good too. You talking about being sore from bouncing around the bush yesterday reminded me to share one of those stories that is funny now but was very NOT funny at the time. Years ago I drove a J.D. 548 skidder. It had a free floating seat which was supposed to smooth out the ride. What it actually did was make the seat violently slam back and forth front to back when on rough terrain. For durability the upholstery was a very coarse, heavy, weave. One day I made the mistake of wearing loose fitting jeans (without long underwear). My pants stuck firmly to the rough cloth of the seat and my body slid back and forth inside them. By the end of the day my rump and the back of my thighs looked and felt like they had been worked over with 80 grit sandpaper...

My 1952 Dodge Power Wagon M37 3/4:T has a vent like your '48 and it has pop out front windshields as well. That lake was smooth as glass. To bad Xena didn't catch any fish but at least she got a canoe ride in. I haven't paddled a canoe in 40 years.

Thanks, I guess I was busy this day and missed the story of the long wood trailer. I was kind of worried that perhaps the tandem car trailer that shown hooked up to the Screaming Ford right at the end had been modified seeing as how it seems to get a lot of use. Now it all makes a lot more sense.

Nice bit of time in the Coleman canoe. I have a little 15 1/2 ft Grumman with a little 2 hp motor to take to trouble, I mean fishing spots. It now probably the same green as yours. Rustoleum Hunter green which is the same color as my 3 in 1 roller metal brake. Hey, my colors are green, blue, red and black. I have the other colors because people think I only use black. Oh I did some white rims a couple of years ago. I would tell them to buy me different color paint if I cared.😂 I do like that long trailer you crafted together.

i broke both my feet and limited on what i can wear. walmart slip on shoes with duct tape across the toes to keep the spark out when welding. nothing flashing but practical. thansk
