Adam, box turtles are land based and can completely close themselves inside their shell. That looked like a common red ear slider. Hope this helps.

You need a weight on that set up. So the bait only has a 6inch space so the fish has a better strike zone. If you want to learn more watch other fisherman that are beter.

You’re definitely correct on the strike zone but when I use the heavier weights I almost always get hung up so thats why I was testing out the lighter ones. Thanks for the info!
