Mr. Richard Gene, another good trip using live crawfish. It's amazing how those spots pull. They are a strong fish for sure. They fight like a small mouth bass. Smaller, quicker, stronger than most large mouths. Hated to see that 11 footer break at the handle. tnxs fo the video.

Nice! We feel about the same way about fishing. If I never got hooked once in a while, line tangles, wet and muddy, or had to figure ways to get my fishing poles back out of the water from a pole thief, it would mean that I was not fishing. Just to get out, is a realized blessing for me. Thank You for you videos. Captain Carpman

I love the cardinal 4 reels thats' what I use mainly. The 1st Cardinals, built in Sweden, not the ones built afterwards in Germany. The cardinal 3 is also an excellent reel, great for those paper mouths, (Crappie). About the only problems I have ever had with either is the bail springs. When you picked up that reel Richard, I knew what it was immediately, and just as quickly subscribed. Good luck and good Fishing.

The way that 11 footer was bending all the way down to the grip on the fight sorta made me think it looked like a long trolling rod. I see a lot of walleye trolling setups like that at around 9 ft long.

Like your use of rubber bands, such a great idea, gonna try this when I'm livebaiting with small trout for Pike, makes sense both from a fishing point of view keeping the bait active for longer, and also a little less cruel for the unlucky bait fish! Found you in my search as the lake I'm fishing has been overrun by signal crayfish, my target fish is Carp and wondered if you have caught carp using live crayfish?

We have a lake in upstate Pennsylvania that was strictly trout. There were a pile of crawfish. You could see them in daylight just walking around at the boat launch. Someone or a group illegally put in smallmouth bass. If I go there now there isn't a crawfish to be found. I'm sure there are still some under rocks, but nothing like it was. Like how you set up the hook on the crawfish. If the rubber band breaks the crawfish can go free and unhurt.

Richard I need schooled in fall crappie fishing. The lake I fish drops low in the winter and they are hard to pattern. Could you do a video or two about the basics of everything I need to know about fall crappie fishing. The lake is already at winter levels. Ive watched all your videos and have learned a lot but I would love a start to finish, coverall the basics of fall crappie fishing. And later on a winter series. Maybe you could make a series for each season and different ways to catch them. Please help cause I feel like I'm doing it wrong

I was fishing 🎣 in Wisconsin one time and my rod broke on a cast and thank goodness the rod floated so I was able to get my tackle and reel back. The guy I was fishing with thought I threw my pole in and was laughing at me till he realized what happened. And to this day I don’t buy cheap rods or ones that don’t go through the Handle.
