You're a great fishing you tuber because you actually show what you're catching the fish with unlike the other you tubers where they just show to fish being caught and being a sellout to their sponsors. Keep up the good work!

Nice channel. Ethical fisherman (I guess the pin fish might argue). I spent my youth going out with my dad trolling for the big boys and fun as it was, I always envied the guys fishing closer to shore.

I'm a new fan and just subscribed because you make your videos great by explaining everything you are doing to catch fish. So many tubers show catching fish but fail to explain how it was done. It's entertaining and teaching at the same time. Love it.

Outstanding day of Tampa Bay fishing! My PB inshore slam was in the same general area ten years ago Christmas week - 77 inches - I thought I was the king! I moved to Minnesota after that and have only been back to fish once in the ten years since. For the life of me I just cannot get into fishing in lakes and ice fishing just doesn't make sense! I totally respect your style and your respect for the resources. The snook in the live well was the best - the dolphins don't seem to need any additional help. Great stuff, dude. Hope to see you out there some time in the future.

I rarely subscribe to anything, but I really enjoyed this video. I like that you keep the language clean and the atmosphere light. I could sorta feel your enjoyment of the day through your positive attitude. You explain things well and you keep it simple. Really cool man, keep on 'catching. Look forward to watching more of your stuff. My favorite memory of fishing that area (other than fishing Clearwater beach on a Christmas day that was in the low 90's), was of my dad wade fishing off the Courtney Campbell causeway in Tampa. He was about 50 feet to my left and had a couple of .. whiting? maybe (I was 12 I don't really recall) on a 30 ft stringer tied to his belt and I remember him grunting and he immediately turned around and pulled the stringer to him and lifted it out of the water and only the heads of the fish were left and he was like "Frickin damnable sharks" at which point I noticed a few dark shapes between us, at which point I made like Jesus and RAN on water back to the shore lol.. He kept insisting they were harmless, but umm.. f that. Wish I could remember turning my head back to the sharks as I ran and saying something ultra cool like "See ya Dudes!" but I was totally not that awesome yet lol. Peace out Brother.

I began fishing with pinfish “tails” cut the way a guide showed me in 1957. Actually, in those days in the Big Bend area (specifically Shell Point fish camp) they were commonly called “shiners.” I still refer to fishing with shiner tails. In the intervening years, I have finished with virtually every new fad that came along - and caught fish with them - but firmly believe that nothing outfishes “shiner tails.” of course, there are times when we need live bait and don’t bother to cut them. Especially during the 1960s when not many people knew about cobia, I was slamming them with live shiners (pinfish).

Surprisingly enough, Dolphin are too smart to eat a hooked fish. At least I have never seen or heard of it happening. I have literally danced trout snook reds while hooked in front of a dolphin and watched them just play around the fish. By holding the fish on the boat, this is the best way to go about this. Great job in protecting the habitat. The same often happens with sharks after release.

Sick video. You definitely know how to fish florida boy style👊
@jasonfulton774 жыл бұрын
I stopped losing fish on live bait when I started hooking the bait through the hard part of the nose with the point facing forward, with a circle hook. Your leader material becomes less critical when you can consistently hook toothy fish in the corner of the mouth. Like your content!
@davethomas94994 жыл бұрын
I found that nearly 100% you catch on a pin fish the larger fish will hit it head on. You can miss a lot of fish hooking through the mouth rather than below the dorsal fin.

@SeeYaDude4 жыл бұрын
Trust me, it's usually not that easy 😂. Live shrimp or pinfish under a bobber will usually catch some fish, especially if you can find an area around mangroves/oyster bars that's holding mullet. Hope you guys can get on some fish next time you go out!

Purina tropical fish food is the most common. Mix in a little menhaden oil or canned mackerel and you’re gold.
