This channel is underrated, handlining is my favorite way to fish. Im a minimalist, and a history nerd so getting to experience the way people have fished since ancient times is a plus

Yeah handlining is definitely fun and I plan on hitting the salt soon to see if the intercoastal is ready and I definitely like history as well i feel like theres lessons and ways of life that still have meaning and techniques that work today and I'm glad your enjoying the content I definitely enjoy making it anyways take it easy

we seriously appreciate your videos. theyre inspiring as we are begining to learn yoyo reels. weve always used traditional baitcasting or open faced reels and rods.

The fish you weren't sure about is a Southern Kingfish (Menticirrhus americanus) also known as king croaker, king whiting or sea mullet. Tight lines.

Thanks for the info I don't normally catch many of them in the waterway just in the surf so I didn't realize that's what it was. Good catch on the identification tho and thanks for watching.
