Dooooooodddeeee!!! Call the Doctor because catching a flattie on a swimbait is sick! I could ramble forever about the HUGE difference between catching a flattie on a swimbait vs a channel but it's similar to catching some dinky pike vs a 40 inch Muskie. Those flatties are apex predators and plenty hard to catch with live bait let alone a swimbait! I dig your swing too man. Got to give credit where it's due and it's clear you've been working on it with that Matt Peters footwork (especially on the first one), focusing and practicing my footwork during the swing has helped my hook up ratio tremendously and is something that doesn't get covered nearly enough. Awesome Awesome video man. I could tell you weren't nearly as stoked about catching a flattie as I would have been but that is seriously an accomplishment to be proud of! Now you need to aim for a 60+ flathead in your next video and show us what that LDC can do when really put to the test. I'm really glad I subscribed a few weeks ago and got to see this!
@crazybassfisher7 жыл бұрын
Thanks man haha that big flathead was definitely something else to catch, love just how strong they can be! Thanks for following along, hopefully I can get that 60lber one day!

crazybassfisher this next spring one of the things I wanted to do was target a flattie and catch it on a swimbait while actually trying to. Not as an accident while bass fishing. So I was extra stoked to see you catch one. Those fish are no dummies and are challenging even for people who only fish for flatties. Were you using a scent like bass dynasty or pro cure on the shad by chance? Have you had any other odd species caught down there in AZ while swimbaiting? I think my strangest here in Iowa was a very angry bowfin. Might be a fun idea for a video to do a compilation of by catches caught on swimbaits. Again super awesome video man. I never ever comment on videos but I was seriously impressed on a handful of points in yours. I can tell you've spent a lot of time practicing your swing and it really shows. Keep up the awesome content!

Great to see you back bro. Even if you don’t catch fish on your outings, we are still here to watch your videos when you post them. It’s good to see the trials and tribulations that you put in on the water and sometimes your expectations have to be a little low when dealing with swim baits. Don’t get me wrong, of course we always have to stay confident throwing them but keep in the back of your mind that you might have a skunk day. Great video bro. Have a great Christmas. 👍👍🎅🏻🎅🏻

That’s the best time to fish! Maybe not with big baits. But they are crushing fish when the water gets cold and they are chasing huge bait balls. Those are the days you can catch 100 bass if you know how to fish offshore.

Need some help dialing in my brake pattern on my Calcutta Conquest. I keep backlashing when I throw the Battles Shad 9.0 & the Citizen 7. Anybody have this real and what are your brake settings. The BS is 5.20oz and the CTZ is 2.90oz. I'll take any advice you can give me. Thanks.

@tominator0286 жыл бұрын
You can catch fish on it in cold water as well. Swimbaits are all year long fish catchers.

Where are the best spots to throw swimbaits and glide baits
@crazybassfisher7 жыл бұрын
Any place that big bass will have an easy time eating your bait, so around any style of ambush spots like rock piles, docks, grass, trees, etc etc so understanding where your fish like to relate to is a great start to finding the best places to catch big fish!
