@FishingreminderСағат бұрын
Well in my opinion the Aerro is a lot better for fishing. The DJI air is great for filming. But in terms of fishing Aeroo is a beast.

Appreciate the review. Just came across this drone and doing some research on it. Very intrigued by your waterproof drone thoughts. I had always thought of getting one that was water proof for those occasions when something goes wrong. I usually have a kayak with me so could retrieve the drone if it hit the water, but old enough now that I don't want to run multiple baits out with my kayak, and the drone is very appealing to me. Does this drone have the feature that if you mis-judge battery life and it is running out of battery before you deploy your bait, it will automatically drop the bait and return to home before 'crashing'
@Fishingreminder27 күн бұрын
thanks mate, yeah like I said - I personally think a waterproof drone is not necessary at all. It will however provide you with a little peace of mind for a lot of extra cash. The battery issue is not a problem in my opinion. The drone shows you exactly how much battery you have left in the app and it does have features to warn you and to auto return home if the battery gets below a certain percentage. I have used drones for fishing for a long time. Previously I had a DJI phantom 3 and never had any situation where I had to worry about the drone crashing because it runs out of battery. The only time you would have to worry about battery would be if you wanted to fly the drone out a ridiculously long distance. Like I'm talking many kilometers where it would potentially take longer for the drone to return home than the remaining safety margin of the battery can provide. But that is not a scenario for fishing where you'd fly out to maybe 300 to 500 meters and it only takes seconds for the drone to cover that distance.

Great vid, and a great middle of the road drone if you don't want to spend a bomb. However, I would disagree on the waterproof aspect. If you are fishing in wettish weather as we often do, a waterproof drone will handle that type of condition easily, plus a larger drone will handle stronger winds, so for that reason I still wouldn’t go past my Swell Pro Fisher Max, really just comes down to how much you want to spend. Happy fishing 👍🏻
@FishingreminderАй бұрын
Thanks, mate! I appreciate your perspective. The Swell Pro Fisher Max is definitely a top-notch drone for fishing, especially if you're out there in wet and wild conditions. But yeah, it’s a bit of an investment! For me, I tend to stick to fishing in fairer weather, so I don’t really feel the need to splurge on something that can withstand heavy rain. And to be honest, if I did drop $5000 on a drone, I’d probably be too nervous to fly it in anything extreme! The payload capacity on the Swell Pro is impressive, though-great for folks who want to run long lines with lots of hooks. Personally, I like to keep it simple with just 2-4 hooks; it keeps things more enjoyable for me. But hey, that’s the beauty of fishing-there’s a setup for everyone’s style! Happy fishing, and thanks for watching! 👍

Hello and thanks for the great information/videos. I tried to order a Aero Pro from the link below and even though my AMX went through, the merchant reversed it. There is no phone number to contact the company, only an email address. The customer service team got back to me but can't tell me when it will ship and only says they are low on stock. Needless to say, the order system and customer service seem quite disorganized. Does anyone have any up-to-date information regarding current stock and shipping times for the AeroPro? Thanks.
@Fishingreminder27 күн бұрын
Hi there, I personally don't have any information on their stock but I know that the drones are selling out very fast as they are very popular right now. My understanding is that most of the time you have to pre-order and wait for the next batch of stock to arrive, unless you're very lucky and order when they currently have stock left.
@stuarttalksstuff57Ай бұрын
when did it become available to buy in Australia as im visiting soon might bring one back thanks stuart

To save battery is it safe to turn off the drone while waiting for the bites? Or the drone itself is got a standby mode without consuming battery?

yeah, I always turn mine off between casts, it only takes a few seconds to turn it back on for the next cast and will save you battery.

Interesting video, I'm keen to see on the west coast how much weight and wind it can actually handle, I watch your videos and the part I notice is with a 1 kg payload have u seen what this drone capabale of, westcoast fishing is more than a kg, and this drone is one for a beginners introduction to drone fishing
@Fishingreminder2 ай бұрын
Cheers for the comment. From my experience the west coast does not need any more payload than anywhere else. Why would it? I have fished on the West Coast North and South Island and never had to use more the my standard rig. What do you want to fly out that weights more than a kg? Even a big 8 ounce sinker only weighs about 220 gram. The Areoo drone is very beginner friendly (as in easy to use) - but it's definitely also a professional fishing drone. It has all the bells and whistles you could wish for. I personally think it's the best fishing drone you can get for right now.

Great review! I like to charge my batteries of 12V/5V when I go on multi-day fishing trips. What is the input voltage on the 4 battery charger hub? Or what is the output voltage from the wall adapter?
@FishingreminderАй бұрын
Hi, the wall adapter is rated for 25.2 Volt at 2 Amps or 50.4 watts. I would use a small 200 watt inverter with the supplied power adapter instead of making my own power supply. The battery capacity is 4000 mAh or 87.6 Wh. For a couple of days worth of charging you'd probably want at least a 1000Wh 12V battery. If you have a camper with a solar setup you should have plenty of power to charge.
@rudolfviljoen5188Ай бұрын
Thanks mate. Ok, I will use my inverter for now. I ordered the Aeroo Pro combo plus 2 more batteries. Should manage easily. I usually manage to keep my heavy Swellpro drone and fridge going for 3 days of my 1300Wh battery and go home with some juice left in the battery.

I enjoy this video but I will have to say your theory on waterproof drones not coming back with errors and stuff is absolutely rubbish the fisherman Max is one of the best ones out there the payload of 3.2 kgs completely waterproof and sealed you can take off in the water and on land if there's any error or discommunication between your drone and controller it has an automatic come back to Homebase why I know this is. Is because I actually own one!
@FishingreminderАй бұрын
Cheers for the comment. I meant technical faults not communication errors, like if a motor fails or the drone looses power. It'll just crash. Can possibly happen to any drone. I have seen crashed and destroyed Swellpro drones. Not saying the Fisherman Max isn't a good drone. But personally I have never found the need to launch or land my drone in water. I go to the beach setup my drone fly out my baits and done. I also never found the need to use more than one 1kg payload. So for me paying 3 times as much for features I don't need would be pretty pointless. But if someone frequently wants to launch and land their drone in water then a waterproof drone would be the way to go. I'm trying to think of a scenario where I would want to do it, but can't really think of anything. Plus I would be worried that my expensive investment perhaps isn't quite as waterproof as claimed.
@neoleyting5952Ай бұрын
@Fishingreminder I would highly doubt that the fisherman Max will have errors as I have been on watch with this product for a long time including myself actually owning one even if the motor failed the GPS tracker on it including the floating pads that is clipped on to the drone will keep itself on float anyway plus has an automatic return to home if there's any discommunication or error on it plus I got a warranty on it and also repair Engineers where I live that's specialises in fixing drones
@FishingreminderАй бұрын
@@neoleyting5952 It's good that you are happy with the drone. Everyone has different requirements and expectations. You found the product that is right for you. For me personally this would definitely be overkill and too expensive. I'd say the best drone will always be the one that fits the requirements, which can vary quite a bit based on fishing styles and experience. And in the end you gotta be happy with your purchase. Most drones have automatic return to home and other safety features when there are any communication errors.
@neoleyting5952Ай бұрын
I might get this drone to in the near future cause it has different things it can do one of them i like is it can do 10km distance. I aso saw you were mentioning something about a torpedo for long line it can be a lot of ups and downs on those as well my mate had one it costed him 5 1/2 thousand we were out one day fishing with it and I had my drone above it to watch it go out but he lost his Torpedo because of a shark so I would say a drone is still better
@FishingreminderАй бұрын
@@neoleyting5952 yeah lots of these torpedos get lost apparently. I personally wouldn't use one. First of all I don't like longline fishing and second of all it's expensive and not much fun. You're just winching in fish. I much prefer using a drone as an extension to surfcasting.
