Patriot Jefferson I’m sure they make some special contraption that would make it possible. However, these Hobie’s weigh well over a hundred pounds & considering how tricked out his is, one can only surmise with onboard batteries to boot. I’m not certain how realistic it would be to safely store overhead without a heavy duty pulley system though. But again, I’m sure someone out there is doing it.

I have a pro angler 12. I had it about 6 years . I love it. I have a Bixpy motor on it. I made so make sharp tunes. The fastest speed is good walking pace.good for trolling. And put a Boone dox laning gear . That make it easier for bring it to the water and back to my car. Check out both the Bixby motor and the boone dox landing gear.

It’s a pretty tough decision and luckily for me, my wife approved the purchase of a hobie. Feel free lure 11.5 is a nice kayak. You’ll have the option to put a rudder and an overdrive on it. I say borrow or use as many kayaks as you can to test them out. Think about it being fully rigged up and how you’ll transport it yourself. A lot of questions and a lot of time spent on searching about specs is what’s needed before you make a purchase. Dont waste your money and time on something you’ll regret later. GL on it bro

The feel free is a good kayak. Super stable but you lose speed. One thing for sure is it is a tank to paddle and suck in the wind really bad. But If you plan to get the overdrive it won't be so bad

Scott Saetern on a 14 I can see why but a 12 is manageable. The bungee cord hack on the cart makes it a lot easier to deal with. All I have to do is lift straight up and let the bungee pull the cart in the scupper hole for me. Eventually when I get lazy then I’ll upgrade

yes, average cruise speed is jus under or at 3. It takes a few mins of cruising for the legs to warm up and then it’s jus smooth pedaling. To me, it is as if I’m walking long distances on the water. Before I know it, I traveled 6-8 miles away. Then it’s a headache and a struggle to make it back before dark

As nice as the Hobie Pro Angler is I see alot for sale on craigslist.Alot meaning 10-12.Thers other fishing kayaks as well on craigslist.I have me eye on a couple.Im in the midst of selling my Sun Dolphin Journey 12 a so-so kayak with uncomfortable seats.Plus theres no way to connect the front and back to your bumpers,just two cheap handles bow,and stern.Sure wish I could afford a Hobie.

I assume they are for sale either because of the weight, financial reasons or maybe it was just a phase they are going through. I think as long as you previously owned a kayak then most decisions to pay for one of these are final #kayaklife 😂 I hope one day you can afford a pedal drive but for now, stick to what you got. Maybe mount some rails to help with hauling

it’s a ninja thing 😆 it is mainly for the summer months but my pops had me use it as a kid growing up so I’ve been doing it ever since. From T-shirts to scarfs, I think my pops grew up in the jungles of Thailand and Lao with it. I assume it’s for bugs 🤷🏼‍♂️
