I love watching these videos carp fishing here in the UK is a 2 billion pound a year industry 10kg of Boilies will cost £60 $75 and that's without pellets £25 liquids £15 pop ups £ 6.99 ect its endless we have shops as big as wallmart just full to the neck with carp fishing stuff. we mainly use pva bags now fill a bag with goodies when it goes in water it melts or we use bait boats drop it where ever ya want it.. tight lines brother

For your indicator float you hang on your line, I tie a string from my rod holder to the bottom of the float, then secure a bobby-pin to the top of the float and clip the bobby-pin on the line. When a fish bites, you can pick up the pole and the float comes unclipped from the line but is still tethered to the rod holder for your next cast. I used this method back in the 80's when bank fishing for stocked trout in California reservoirs.

Lol . I like mine too take about 3 - 5 minutes in cold water . Because warm water works faster . I don't want it any faster than that . If it is faster . Add a little bit of flour to it and it'll slow it down . It's its taking to long add more wheat brand and it'll help it break faster

Everyone in my favorite little fishing spot is fishing catfish...literally, carp are bold enough to flick water at you from 5 feet off the bank. I have had zero success on worms, so 'm making a batch of this so I can begin yanking up a few of these carp. They are just out of hand...if I catch even one carp using this, I'll be back to brag on you man!!

Im originally from the UK now in Texas. I used a very similar bait bomb mix for many years with great success. Where you included flavoring into the syrup i use marmite. It takes a bit of shaking to mix it in with the syrup but the flavor holds onto the mix like sh1t to a blanket.

@FishinNStuff
@FishinNStuff 2 жыл бұрын
Yes I like regular oatmeal better but it cost more . The ratios are done by volume not weight . Because each ingredient is dramatically different in weight but you put the same volume. If you put 2 cups of oatmeal then put 2 cups of the others too . The only thing with different amounts is the syrup and flour

A DIY rod holder idea. I took a rectangular bucket and added PVC pipe all around both the outside and inside of the bucket. The pipe will need to be large enough to fit your rod handles. I attached my pipes with cable ties top and bottom of each pipe. Works great and sure beats leaning a rod against the wall, hoping it won't get knocked over and broken. Tight lines everyone. Chuck

I grew up on the banks. My dad always said, "Son, every fish in that lake will eat a worm." That is the ONLY bait I ever fished with until I was in my 20's and started Bass fishing. (Dad said Bass were trash fish, full of worms, throw it up on the bank.) HA! I think the old man would get a #Hoot out of all the methods people use to target different species. I had no idea. That was the neatest thing I've ever seen. I met a guy once who showed me his catfish bait. It looked similar but he told me he drizzled a little power steering fluid on the ball before he cast it. @@FishinNStuff yeah I know that really bums me out to. The grass carp are the only fish in the waters out here that aren't considered a game fish and protected as such. The waters here are very cold and clear, so the carp have three good uses. 1 they're good eating if you know how to clean them right and I do. 2 they make really good cut bait + 3 they make awesome fish emulsion fertilizer for the garden which is a big plus here in the desert. Corn meal with corn starch , molasses , cooked to a thick consistency. Mold it to the hooks. The carp went crazy for it and would straighten single hooks.

Not a bad idea I’ve always done the kool aid with Panko and corn but it goes bad fast and I have a feeling that it might break off with long cast as it hits the water. The corn syrup I think would hold stronger and I like the banana flavor idea carp love that stuff

If you get the flour amount right it'll not come off . But if you use to much flour it won't break up . Flour makes it pack wheat brand makes it break . And it'll last all year

How many cups of each do you use? And if I use old-fashioned oats do I still have to add flour?
@FishinNStuff
@FishinNStuff 3 ай бұрын
It's just equal parts on the dry stuff . So in a 5 gallon bucket use 1 gallon of oats , millet , wheat brand , and 1box of cornflakes . Then three other stuff . And yes you'll need flour but you can adjust it to your preference . The more flour the harder it pack and slower it breaks . You do want it to break but I like it to take a few minutes personally. I was always told 5 mins was perfect but prefer 3 minutes

Hi, I am trying to make this in the UK. What is the syrup to dry ingredients ratio? When do you stop adding it?
@FishinNStuff
@FishinNStuff 7 ай бұрын
You just want it wet but not super wet . Like cement kinda . I'm sorry 😞 that probably a bad example . If it is too wet just add more wheat brand or oats and if it's not packing tight . Add some flour . It won't pack till it has some time to set up by the way

I am a beginner. I understand that if if use 1 cup hulled millet, I also should use the same amount of wheat bran, oats, and corn flakes all as the breakers. But if I use 1 cup each of all of the above items, how much flour and syrup each should I use as the binders ? I really enjoyed your video!!
@FishinNStuff
@FishinNStuff 2 жыл бұрын
You put enuff syrup in it to get it wet . Or really moist . Kinda like mixing concrete . Moist not to wet . You add flour in it just enough to make it pack good . But then it still had to break up . 5 minute break time is ideal

@@FishinNStuff Thank you very much. So I guess there is not an exact amount of syrup and flour to the mix. After I add some flour and mix it in to the dry ingredients, then the addition of the syrup is a matter of feel and touch when you squeeze it into a ball to see if will hold together. Right? Put in flour first then syrup or syrup then flour? Which? Thanks so much.

Use 1/2 cup rice krispies 1/2 cup sunflower seeds 1 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder 1 can of cherry pie filling but remove the cherries just use the syrup then break up bread slices and mix to desired consistency I use about 7 or slices of bread I'm in Pennsylvania it was about 60 degrees today so after work I fished for 2hrs the only bait I had on me was this cherry chocolate dough ball well it netted me 4 Carp all over 20lbs biggest was 26 smallest was 21lbs point is experiment be different those carp at pay lakes see the same dough ball every day well except from me lol I use spices for attractant like chocolate cinnamon cayenne pepper ect.

No . I've found about 30% off the cornflakes float . But the flavoring floats away also ..I think it's a good attraction method . I mean if 25 - 30% of 1/4 of your ingredients turn into an attractant. Your only losing maybe 5% . It's no big deal . I've used that bait alot and it catches fish good

I make my dough ball right at the river. Get a handful of oatmeal. And put your hand in the water. Moisten the oatmeal and put it around your hook. If you don't pay attention to the rod and reel. And you have it on a stick. There is a chance you will lose your fishing pole. My dad has lost a couple, my brother has too. We never bought any of the fancy pole holders. I was taught the old fashioned way to make a dough ball. I add strawberry Kool aid mix with my dough ball. After I get my ball made. And let it set and dry a little before I throw my line out. But it does look like the one in this video. It won't come off easily either. But, good luck to everyone. Have fun. And stay fishin.

If it's not packing tight ,,,,,,add flour a little at a time and mix it in till it starts packing tighter . Then check the break up time in a jar of water . If you add to much flour and it won't break . Then add some more wheat brand and it should make it break . But just know it packs tighter after it ages a little .for example next week it'll pack better than today
