They’re both 10/10 recordings on my opinion. I find myself listening to them back to back because they somehow both have unique sounds to offer whether it’s the cathartic guitar at the end of the live version or the more subdued instrumental at the end of the studio recording

@@melmel6253 naw the studio version just has an entirely different atmosphere (which actually kinda goes for most of their stuff) it's a lot more laid back and relaxed while the live version is grand and energetic and uplifting

This was fucking awesome. My favorite song at first was Night Cruising...then it became Long Season and now this version of Weather Report came into my life. I cannot wait to listen to more Fishmans music. The drumming in this is so tight, bassline is groovy as fuck, honzi's violin playing superb as always and Shinji's guitar and voice are iconic.

@ - Ranking their songs is a matter of taste. My all time favorite song is the live 1998 “Long Season.” I think it is my favorite song period, nothing compares to it for me.

@@julianponce8065 no puedo creer lo mucho que cambio mi vida desde ese entonces. De alguna manera Fishmans me regresa a lo que soy y me siento mejor mirando la ciudad mientras escucho su música. Creo que hay muchos lugares preciosos a los que podria ir y escuchar su música, con mucha naturaleza, sin gente y pacifico. Aunque ahora creo que a donde sea que se vaya, la mentalidad que tengamos hace al lugar lo bello que es también. Gracias por preguntar. Donde sueles escuchar sus canciones?

Este proyecto japonés de música es hermoso, experimentan sonidos como el Dream Pop, Shoegaze y Trip Hop juntos, pero veo que hay mucha gente que conoció RECIÉN a la banda y no se tomaron la molestia de investigar ni siquiera un poco acerca de ella. Fishmans fue una banda que desde 1987 hicieron música Reggae y Dub, y recién a partir del año 1995 (con sus álbumes Aerial Camp y Uchū Nippon Setagaya) empezaron a experimentar con estos sonidos como el Trip Hop, Shoegaze, Dream Pop, Neo Psicodelia, etc, cosa que venían haciendo tiempo atrás bandas como Cocteau Twins, MBV, Slowdive, Curve y hasta el mismo Gustavo Cerati (a partir de 1992 con Dynamo y Colores Santos). Por lo tanto, estos muchachos no eran nada vanguardistas, ya se hacía este tipo de música. Es más, este material es recién del año 1997. Claramente Shinji Sato se inspiró en los artistas anteriormente mencionados para hacer este tipo de música.
