Keeping an eye on your dkh it’s important because if it drops your Calcium will sky rocket and if your dkh it’s to high you’ll see the skeletons of your corals grow fast but not the tissue and magnesium keeps Calcium an Alk from binding so it’s very important to do your tests. Awesome video bud no bullshit in it and I really like that 💯👍🤟

When you say to dose in equal parts like 10ml or alk and calc what if the mixture cal/alk solution has a different ratio of 1:2 or does it still not matter? Some people say to dose more alk and less calcium etc so thats why i ask
@reeferexplained88463 жыл бұрын
Yep me too I dose 10ml Alk every hour from 10am- 3pm and always at 9dkh and dosing 10ml in the evening once on calcium its always at 480. But recently my alkalinity has dropped to 8dkh not sure why calcium is at 480. Here is my question do I up kh 10ml dosing 4pm and 5pm and test 24 hrs later or up my calcium to match exactly my dosing of alkalinity. It's 69 gal tank with Lps corals and couple of sps corals. Using hanna checker and salfert for kh test so it's correct. After water change every 10 days I replace 60litres and kh back to 9.4 and cal at 480. What's best in uk 🇬🇧 not dosing 2 part brs using aquaforest kh buffer power mixed in 2litre dosing container 80grams and same 80grams calcium from aquaforest power.

I have a deep tank 90 cm and also lots of fish that keep hammering my corals when i try and feed them very annoying sometimes i bash them on the head to get out of the way ... Help

Very informative thanks. I’m dosing reef pro a and b. My alk is 11.1 and my calcium is 383 on a Wednesday. My water changes are on sundays with Red Sea coral pro. Do you recommend me dosing calcium separately on top of the 2 part?
@douglasachaiba78853 жыл бұрын
Good day. New to dosing. Heard you say than if your alk is low and calcium is high or even normal equal parts are to be used. So let's say I need 15 MLS to raise my alk, do I have to dose 15 MLS of calcium? And when dosing like that, do I dose hours apart or a few minutes with regards to adding the alk and cal?

So if I have a tank that is consuming a lot of alkalinity but not much calcium and dosing 20 ml a day of both calcium and alkalinity I should up the dose to let’s say 40 ml a day to both the alkalinity and calcium rather than keeping the calcium at 20ml and raising the alkalinity dosage to 40 ml?

So my Ca is 480, Kh 7.6/7,9, and Mag 1350 I was dosing just 2 part trying to bring my Kh up but after this video I’m doing it wrong 🤦🏼♀️ so how I can start bring it my Kh up dosing both parts? I’m want to raise it to 8.4.
