I don't believe so. Maybe there's a forum post that answers that question, but I wouldn't think buying two would add extra of the same fish.

Nope. Here's the note from the store: "WARNING : At the moment, the Hangar Fishtank Mk1 is only able to display one of each fish. If you buy the same fish twice you’ll only see one in the Fishtank until multiple fish instances are supported."

TheKOzality No actually I checked in game and I have 4 ribbon fish.
