I do have the N10 for all purpose.. Here in europe for 80€..most expensive one yet but the longer it lasts the more i dont care about the price... It is shaving sharp, holds edge well.. Overall nice working partner for bushcraft and fire maker

This is the best axe I've ever owned. It's the perfect size to carry compared to the other 5 axes I own. "Ego Buys" Easy to sharpen to a high sharpness of original. There are many Ash Trees in Scotland and Ash is one of the toughest hardwoods trees to chop due to it being very springy. As such this Axe deals with it very well. The back and pounding stakes "Holding mine in my hands as we speak" the two lines you can see in video or pole @8:24 will disappear after use, just use it. I thought this was a different N7 axe as mine are now flush and never noticed it wasn't useful for smacking in stakes. I have never had issues with it. It is 4 years old now and still looks brand new. Sharpened after every camp use of chopping wood, then adding a little olive oil after sharpening. Never do I go camping without my trusty N7 and yet to find another more practical Axe than the N7. I have just been looking in a few of my video's using this very same Axe. I would highly recommend this axe. Oh and one more thing. I would certainly invest in a sharpening stone 1000 Grit is more than enough for this axe. Like life look after things and they will serve you well.

Love that hatchet. I used it in jungle, in my garden and chopping cow bones with very tiny chipping/rolled on the edge.

Steel in the heads are the same. From Fiskars: Thanks for your e-mail and question. The head and blade is made the similar way for both axes and the hardness is the same. Hope to have informed you accordingly.

Btw , I'm waiting for Joe X to opload his destruction video of the X7. He already has done one of the X10. The X7 will come up also. The X10 showed to be a very tough cookie.

I would stick with the original in that size they are pretty much indestructable. This seems like adding the weakness of wood without the ease of replacement or full benefit with feel/looks.

People were bitching about not haveing a wooden handle. I love my splittingband chopping 23 inchers with polymer handles

Interesting, I was thinking they added strength to where the handle would break. You know ice hockey sticks break always at certain length from the end. You know how to replace the wooden piece on these?

The trans-7; Identifies as. Traditional axe, but all the same utility and budget materials “under the hood”. PS. A wooden handled axe that you cannot easily rehang is absolutely useless. This N7 is a novelty item.

I’d agree, except they’ll replace it for free for life. So not completely useless.
