The fiskars Axe is good.... The machete........ "Ugh" 💀💀🤡
@Ouwkackemann7 күн бұрын
I have mine for round about 8 years now, and it doesn´t look that good anymore. And I do have a Fiskars X27 as well, which is a good splitting axe, too. But for me it is no comparison to the Gransfors, which I really love. I doubt, that my Gransfors will survive another 8 years, because its head lost its shape quite a bit. But I definitely will buy me another one then.

You don't sell me on that i have vintage hand logging saws from back in the day that would make that over priced junk look bad. The trick is the saw does the work not you! Of course a chainsaw is better.
@ReviewOutdoorGear9 күн бұрын
Haha yes of course, a chainsaw will cut faster. I don’t have an old school cross cut saw, so I don’t know how much faster it would be. I’d love to have both saws one day and do a comparison. I will say though, that this is a very hard wood, and a cross cut saw may not cut through it quite as fast as you think. And it’s not as compact or lightweight.

Then look for Samurai saws: same Japanese triple-ground steel, same ergonomics, same replaceable blades....and just under half the price of a Silky. It's won me over.
@Frazercuts9 күн бұрын
Good video but to be fair that saw is to small you really need the 650 for wood that big. It has much deeper teeth.
@ReviewOutdoorGear9 күн бұрын
Yes, a 650 would be better, but I tried finding the biggest log the saw could possibly cut and push it to its limit.

Hahaha, yes, a chainsaw would have cut this log in about 45 seconds. But in situations where you can’t have one or are limited by weight or fuel, this thing is a game changer!

Thank you for the comprehensive video! I am looking to buy a Chariot next spring, and I was hoping I could get your 2 cents on an 'issue' I have: Currently we have 1 kid, but we plan on more within 2 years. The single seater would be enough for now, and would be easier to maneuver around, but I'm afraid we will have to replace it after the second kid is able to go on rides. But on the other hand: a two seater would be kind of "unnecessary" for the next 2-3 years (of course we can always use the more space, I know us.. :D plus our little dog could go in when biking around). Would you buy a single seater and possibly replace it when the time comes, or just go for the 2 seater to keep it until the kids grow up, and "deal with" the width until it's needed?
@ReviewOutdoorGear17 күн бұрын
Hey! I would get the two right away - and enjoy the space :)

I’ve had these for several years and used mostly for the office since it looks so nice. I recently started using for hikes but found the upper leather is highly receptive to scratches and scuffs. Also, this version doesn’t have good traction in muddy or moist soils.
