You look after him so well and it is great that he can still go out and enjoy eventing, just at a lower level. He is clearly loving life and being with his buddies in the field😍

Zebedee is one of my favourite horses on KZbin. As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I had to watch. I'm hoping that my horse is still competing at the age of twenty.

Oh my gosh, just stumbled onto this vid & it really took me back to my childhood where I made my Mom read Black Beauty every nite forever. She would be tired & wanted me to go to sleep so she could do same, so she would skip a page …no way! I would call her out on it as I knew the entire book by heart. What a beautiful horse! Thank you.

Oh come on... Get a physio. And FEI please stop promoting this as a healthy horse, just look at the neck and don't even talk about that lordosis. FEI you're all that's wrong in the equine industry and it's a SHAME for those who actually care about the welfare of our horses.

That horse is 20, and has been eventing at a very high level for years! You really think he would have had such a long career if he was un-healthy? Or if the rider wasn't looking after him? Come on 😂
@jenanddakota6 ай бұрын
@delfi2001 never mind the fact the horse is 20 and still fit and competing at this level, Zeb is 1/2 thoroughbred which is where his body type comes from & although many dressage judges don't like him specifically due to this & the fact he's not really put together for Eventing, it hasn't stopped Ashley & Zeb from regularly placing in the Top 10 in 2* and above. They came 3rd in CCI3-L* at Blair Castle for goodness sake! You shouldn't make such flippant comments without a little insight. Being structurally imperfect (or not meeting your biased view of an acceptable example of a 'healthy' horse - whatever that is) doesn't mean your horse isn't able to live a happy, healthy life whilst achieving awesome things, hey @ashleyharrisoneventing 😉💪🏻

@@jenanddakota omg! You are making my point even bigger! Please read your comment again and tell me WHEN are you talking about the biomechanic and muscular structure? I couldnt care less how many or what ribbons the horse has won, thats exactly the point im complaining! Everyone just seeing the stars and the awards. GO STUDY ANATOMY PLEASE! And FEI please just stop deletting my comments, i have aswered this bllsht for the third time and last one. Go fkn read some articles before talking to a person who actually CARES about the welfare and not the ribbons.

I understand what your saying about this horse. He may have been healthy throughout a successful career....but to me his age is really showing. He looks old in his face. I can see the body stiffness showing. Gentle rides, senior food, turnout, stretching, conditioning, grooming, massage is what he deserves. He's put in his time. I've been there with an older horse. In my opinion...better to retire him from competition at this point than have a catastrophic breakdown. So many younger horses out there to bring along...❤
