Religion is a scam.
@gabrielmesones11234 жыл бұрын
@@joelyuo7184 well bro, I am Christian and I can give my opinion on the lyrics through a Christian perspective. Maybe it has another meaning, but at least for me, I can understand that. See, as humans, we have all sinned, and because of that we can't get into Heaven or be close to God, cuz we aren't worthy. But, God has blessed us by grace, and he came down to earth to give us his salvation. Jesus Christ is God and he was crucified for the sins of everybody, so that, everyone that believes in him, and repents from heart, can be saved, and can get to Heaven and be with God. Basically, we had a dept, and Jesus paid it. So when they talk about a Heaven blocked with barbed wire, it's like a Heaven that you can't get in. Maybe only if you payed or something like that. There's people who think, that you have to pay money, or serve a church or be part of some kind of cult to be in Heaven, but THAT DOESN'T APPEARS on the bible, if they believe that, they're free to believe it, but it is not biblical, and doesn't represent me. Some churches try to put God like something that will give you prosperity on Earth, they manipulate people to get their money, and you can see their speech is like... "GOD GIVE ME MONEY NOW! I WANT A NEW FERRARI" (literally). And that is not ok, I think FFAK is talking about them. Another think they could be talking about is those kind of religious people that like to feel like saints, and they decide who goes to Heaven and who doesn't... Which is actually terrible, because anyone that believes in Jesus, will be saved. You see, there is no sin God can't forgive, because his love goes beyond our knowledge. So Heaven is always open to everyone of us. There is no think like barbed wire, no God of fire. There's only a loving God that gave his life for us. Heaven is open for all of us.

In my interpretation, this song is about some "Christians" that are actually following a false idol, a false God, which is only a God of pain and destruction. Ultimately, the church itself that is pushing this is a false idol itself, hence the "false idols fill the air with smoke and glass". Meaning it is hard to decipher. "Their lies so easy to sell when death is in our heads". Meaning that because we are afraid, some will follow it. And ultimately, this church, whatever it is, locks down Heaven from its people unless the people "bow down and recite the words they feed". The "split tongues" also I believe is a reference to the fact that the words they say are most likely of the evil one, the serpent. This is basically, in my opinion, discussing a cult. I mean we see that there are 40,000 denominations of Christianity....a lot of them are not actually Christian. My two cents!
@kaaillautaroalarconnavarro77684 жыл бұрын
all you are saying its TRUE. the "god" that ask for human-animal sacrifices, blood rituals, or ask for murder in exchange of power, gold , knowledge...etc...is actually a demonic entity..or more than one, actually.it is not only in the christian denominations...its everywhere. nords, oriental, south african. and latin cultures ( past cultures), talk about a compendium of entities...evil and good ones. every religion and variety of religions ( or the majoruty), have common ideas o talk about the same , just in other words. actually, the "languages", are part of the human planned division, and it seems to be part of the deceive of one- ore more demonic entities, that are hidden like "gods"..there is a song from bury tomorrow called "more than mortal" that talks about the false gods...that ones that feed from human emotions,especially from hate, suffering , and chaos in general.
@connerluttig86424 жыл бұрын
@@kaaillautaroalarconnavarro7768 You are right and good point I forget that every "god" that is outside of Christianity is also a demon. That is why universalism is a lie. There is only God, we must beware of the "belials". Hindu gods are demons, wicca often have incantations to Lilith and other demons, the pagan gods are demons as well. And also like I said, some Christians are not following the One, True God of the One, True, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.
@kaaillautaroalarconnavarro77684 жыл бұрын
@@connerluttig8642 personally, im not in any religion. and if you ask me, the popes are not saints, because a saint was jesus christ, for example. no man can be saint. literally, the "god" of this world ( of the "material world", is a demon, and the whole system prays to that entity. we can see how now, some of the principal "spiritual" leaders are saying "yes", to a world religion. also, my problem is not with any religion or member of any religion or cult, because there is GOOD people in any part of the world, denomination, and country. also, im not into adoring any church or temple with monoliths of any kind, because literally, "we dont know where is going our divine energy". what i truly believe is not in any religion or temple, is beyond all of that. all nature and living creature is divine itself..so for me, that fact turns off the main mechanisms of human control, existing in this wolrd for millions of years. any way, some day someone say to me that the real religion was be a good human being..
@connerluttig86424 жыл бұрын
@@kaaillautaroalarconnavarro7768 Hey man you are correct no man can be a saint because you have to die to become a saint. A saint is someone who has died and is in Heaven. And no the popes are never claimed to be saints, only the leader among bishops as was told in the Bible in Matthew about Peter and the keys to Heaven. You can study the Bible, I could help you if you would like to see how the early church was developed and what they believed. You got that part wrong about what we believe. Jesus Christ was not a saint, Jesus Christ is the second person of the Holy Trinity, which is God. It is called consubstantiation, they exist with each other. Jesus existed before his material incarnation...that is the whole point is that God humbled Himself and became man to save us from our sins. There is definitely truth to what you say about religion being used as mechanisms of control, but that does not discredit the church, or a church itself, it only shows the great paradox that Christ setup...which is he put fallible men into positions of an infallible Church. The Catholic Church has not had a doctrine change, nothing has been reversed since its beginnings....2000 years ago. Sure there are sinful men, bad leaders, bad popes, changes in liturgy and developments in stuff because of different times (like it is easier to put people in prison now instead of death penalty) but the deposit of faith (the dogma/doctrine) remains the same. I would suggest, since it seems you are curious and open minded, dive into research and follow what I believe is the Holy Spirit prompting you to do. I studied this stuff for years and it really takes an open mind, not a "closed mind" to be a Christian...especially a Catholic. Let me know if you want to chat privately or email or something about any of this! I always like hearing people's stories and perspectives and sharing my own. We are all connected, whether someone believes it or not....

My fiance and I saw both Fit for a King and Crystal Lake at a concert last year. It was so awesome! We were about to see them again in July but covid happened. Will definitely be on the lookout for their concerts next year.
