Honorable mentions about e36s that he didn’t go over; door panels like to come off 24/7, your glove box will sag, with camber comes custom toe brackets, eBay coils + swing springs are your friend ( we broke out here ), one if not both of your tail lights will eventually stop working, valve cover gaskets also like to leak, and you will inevitably get a fat misfire from a vacuum leak somewhere or another

These were the last cars BMW made where the turn signals were actually satisfying to use. My e92 and e63 just don't have that satisfying snap you get on literally every other car that isn't a modern BMW. I have no idea why they felt they needed to reinvent turn signal technology but you'd think they'd have made them better not worse if they went through the trouble.

All E36's have the same issues. If your E36 havent had these problems, *it will* Rearsubframe can crack unless reinforced with M3 plates. Same on E46. Mostly an issue on drift cars. Doorcards are junk and fall off Doorhandles break and door wont open Glovebox will sag Headliner is junk and sags because it's glued to the roof and it breaks down over the years. Cooling system is junk. Lots of plastic parts that get brittle and break when old. Replace with aluminum' Other than that they are a joy to drive and the drivetrain is stout.
