Thank you for sharing. I have been hoping since the big start of AI something like this would come along soon. The hardest part of my 2nd language journey has been finding someone that I can torture with my poor language skills. Here it is and it will only get better. Thanks!!

Spanish. I spend a couple of months in Laventana Mexico every year and my Spanish is still awful. It is a small town and at first no one spoke English and my Spanish improved a little. Now all the locals speak English and my Spanish is almost non existent. I think Teacher AI might be a big help unless I am just hopeless. I am pretty impressed with your Chinese.

@@dakcn wow! That’s great that you get to travel! My Chinese is soooo bad though lol, this was the first time I’ve actually ever “shown the world” my Chinese, it’s come a long way since i first started, i work hard on it though and try to speak with native speakers at least once a day even if just a few words here and there. Best of luck on your Spanish journey!

Yeeeeeeeeeah!!!!! This looks fantastic. I’m learning Thai, same issue about needing the conversations to really settle in to it. And with the tonal changes in words, having a guide would be great. I don’t own, nor want a PC. It’d be great if it works via VR browser or an IOS app. I’ve subscribed to the news letter and will keep an eye out for when/if they bring a Thai online. Thank you for showing us this.

I just wanted to see if Thai was available, then I saw your answer. I have been trying to learn Thai and started seriously a few weeks ago. Have you heard from Thaipod101? It is to me the best learning program for Thai.

@@southcoastinventors6583 I won’t use it, my last one collected dust. My son always offered me to use his if I ever needed it. His is a flash gaming PC. I used his PC twice in 3 years just to offload photos from my phone to an external hard drive. I haven’t turned my TVs on since the end of 2021. My son left home 12 months ago, and I’ll be due to offload phone data again around mid year. So, I’ll ask him if I can plug in again then. I’m content with my phone and Quest2. My quest is predominately for Netflix, Prime, Disney+, KZbin.

I think this technology has the potential to be great. I think the price point for what it is right now is a reach.

Fantastic, I was going to look up if you can learn Thai with it, but I saw in one of the comments that it is not the case. Unfortunately. By the way... I like cats too. Mine is disturbing me now, because she's hungry...

While I think this has promise, I suspect it works much better in the more popular languages. It struggled with Swedish when I tried, where it couldn't understand me unless I stopped the use of all reductions whatsoever. I then decided to just try using it for crosstalk, which worked well, until it insisted we both use Swedish after several exchanges. I insisted we continue doing crosstalk, since that is what I initially stated that is what I wanted to do, and eventually it complied. I suspect after some time though that it will demand again that we both speak Swedish. As for the voices, I think they're just using voice clones from a service like Eleven Labs to do text-to-speech. I cloned my voice there myself, and it uses my voice in any of the supported languages.

Yeah i heard in the discord that danish and Swedish and a few others were having trouble, i can’t speak for those but i also know they’re always working on it. I definitely think you’re right though, maybe those are getting less love :(

Yeah, the ChatGPT mobile app behaves the same way with respect to reduction use. While I don't know the Teacher AI technology stack, I wouldn't be surprised if they are making API calls to OpenAI for ChatGPT-like functionality, as well as Whisper for speech-to-text. One nice benefit of Teacher AI is that you do not run into messaging limits (40 messages in a 3 hour window) like you do with the ChatGPT app using GPT 4. That alone may make it worth it to me, so I will continue to experiment with it.

@@JoeProstko i agree, it’s definitely not perfect and I’ve tried similar things with ChatGPT but I’m at the point where I don’t mind someone else doing the work lol

I saw this before on Oille channel but without Japanese it not worth it. I am actually surprised its not there. Still it will be a good program for at least one year until you can do it locally on your machine and clone any voice. The tool I mostly use is language reactor and Iago for Japanese. Both of these are browsers extension for chrome based browsers. AI is great for language learners but it will be terrible for basic-lower advanced teachers of the language. Great video and would like to see more AI programs on this channel.

Sadly the website has been very buggy . Only 2 days after purchasing a subscription and it was working well in Italian, the website is not loading, tons of problems . . I have sent emails , no customer service number and they have not gotten back to me in a timely fashion. Hopefully it is only temporary but it still stressful and irritating .

Thanks for the demonstration. I cannot comment on the Chinese, but why does the French teacher 'Claire Dubois' teach you French with an awful American pronunciation? Shouldn't the teachers teach you a native pronunciation? Does the same take place in Chinese? I would not want to use a tool that teaches awful pronunciation.
