No, I have never done that to one of my caps, although I do know that it’s popular with a lot of people. I prefer to shape the buckram rather than remove it, and if I want a relaxed cap I’ll go for unstructured models from New Era or 47 Brand.

Should the hat have "chefs hat effect" or not and if not is there any way to fix this?

Any way the hat looks is always personal preference. And the only way to TRY and fix that effect is to steam each corner near the visor and hold your thumbs outward as it cools... that and accepting a little less curve in your visor can mitigate the visual effect too.

hello, tell me, please, the tag is always embroidered on cooperstown models, but I saw the usual embossing, and all the tags on it are just embossing, and the hologram goes exactly along the new era tag along the entire length vertically from the edge, although it is usually horizontal under the sweat tape, is this not the original with stamped tags?

hello, tell me, at some point on the old models of baseball caps of the new era, the color of the flag on the tags was the opposite, and the size was in a white frame. There were other inscriptions on the tapes, not like now. I had a fight with a KZbinr. he claims that all this is a fake, there have never been such labels of the new era. Help me understand.

There have been many versions of the cap tags over the decades that New Era has been making them. Best to poke around on your favorite search engine to find someone who has compiled some history of them, usually in a blog or similar, thanks.

Hey Dre I’m a long time viewer and a recent subscriber, do you know where I can find a 8 5/8 or 8 3/4 on field fitted hat? I see you have a lot of connection to lids & new era, it would mean a lot of you can point me in the right direction, also are there anything difference between Haitian and China made fitted hats? China fits be perfect, USA & Bangladesh fits horrible

For that kind of large size, I'm actually not quite sure where I could send you... I only know of a large snapback specialist called Mammoth hats. And with Haiti, I just don't have enough caps from that site to form an opinion - I may only have one or two. Thanks for your viewership!

would you say the vintage 90's 100% wool 5950s fit smaller than the modern 5950s?

I don't have enough caps from that time period to have an opinion on that, but I will say that the caps in that era may have been a little more prone to shrinkage with continuous wear and sweating... that's one of the reasons New Era cited for going to polyester for the on-fields starting in 2007.

From my very limited experience, I’d say yes. I can wear my dad’s old 7 3/8 vintage 100% wool hat from the 90s, but I normally wear a 7 1/8 in modern 5950s. Once size could be random variance, but two whole sizes?
