Every fitted hat fits slightly different. Some are more snug than others. Some loose, even in the same tag size. Just remember that you cant make it bigger w/o ruining it.. but you can shrink it by getting it damp and using heat to dry it

You can stretch a fitted hat with a hat stretcher but have to do it carefully. Can use only the hat stretcher or you can use some steam along with the stretcher. It doesn’t take much to stretch it a little bit. I’ve had to stretch most hats I’ve ever owned because most of the rack L/XL hats are too small for my somewhat larger head.

@@samollanda3164 I’ve got an old 7 3/4 hat - it’s too big. I’ve just ordered a 7 5/8, after measuring my head at 60 cm.. I’ll come back and let you know if it fits. From reading online, New Era sizing is all over the place anyway. You can have 5 hats all labelled the same size but they all fit different 🤷🏻‍♂️

This was the perfect video to the T! I have the exact same head size as you and I tried in 7 1/4 at the mall but it felt to tight so I bought 7 3/8 instead and there’s a little room in it now I don’t know if I should of just got 7/14 instead

I think my measurement is right at 22 1/2 inches. I have 7 3/8 hat but sometimes I think I should try 7 1/4. At the lids in town they seem to never have 7 1/4 so I’m trying to figure it out by measurement bc I have to order online. I don’t like when the sides of the hat protrude out a little bit. You think 7 1/4 could be too tight at a measurement of 22 1/2?

Have you tried a 7-1/4 size and did it fit better? My measurements are the same and almost 22-1/2”. But his head in the video is 23” and going with 7-3/8.

Why bother if New era sizing is all over the place. Recently I ordered 5 hates online two were perfect one was to tight and two were loose fitting. Guess I have to go to the store and try them on possibly getting lice or bed bugs.

Hmm interesting, I have about 20-30 caps all the fitted ones are the same exact size, no matter the maker(!) I do have issues with snapbacks, those are all over the place. Some of my caps are 10+ years old. NewEra and Reebok are the most consistant in any regard.
