WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THE SEASON FINALE? ANY IDEA WHO S5’S KILLER IS?
@yoandr13 күн бұрын
My husband & I think S5 themes are revolved around marriage & mob. Lester told a story about his wedding day at the backyard and the fountain is their witness. Maybe after the wedding party, he went to the fountain, being nostalgic. But he noticed something or someone. The killer panicked and pushed Lester. He stumbled then hit his head on the fountain. There's a lady wearing blue dress in the wedding. She sat near Lester and then she is spotted again ordering a drink during Oliver & Loretta's dance. Is she related to Lester? Then the other mystery is Sofia came to the trio to find his missing husband. We knew that Arconia used to be a brothel. Charles even had a monologue about at least 19 bodies buried in Arconia. Maybe Sofia's husband has a connection to it?

1) We didn't find out why the FBI was involved, very badly, may I say as they didn't even find Sazz's phone. 2) We didn't find out who put the small cameras connected to Sazz's phone in the apartments; we have to assume it was Marshall/Rex but we weren't given an answer to that. 3) How did Jan get hold of a rifle? Are we to believe they're kept everywhere in New York? 4) Why was Helga's face scratched out in the picture? She didn't do anything. It was just a cheap ploy to mislead the viewers: "it's Loretta, it's Sazz"... 5) Why would Sazz write the door code for Dudenoff's apartment in her script? That would be inviting the whole world to get into the apartment. 6) In fact, why would Sazz include the Westies in her script at all? If she knew about the rent fraud, she'd jeopardize them. 7) How did Bev know about the trampoline park? Was it in Sazz's script? I suppose Sazz's script can be used to fill all the plot holes. 8) Shouldn't the trio have asked to read the whole script since it portrayed them? They would've had all the answers, although if Marshall was clever enough, he would've removed these details. All in all, while I always enjoy the comedy aspect of the series, the relationship and the banter between the trio, from a murder mystery point of view this season was full of plot holes. The two left shoulder protheses in the incinerator were a coincidence too far. And the FBI of all people didn't spot it. A would be writer who becomes a stuntman and kills twice for a script is not believable in any shape or form, we're in the realm of the absurd here. Also, I'd rather see some of the older characters rather than the new celebrity cameos. As fun as they may be (I found Eva Longoria irritating and Zach Galifianakis did nothing for me - and yes, I'm familiar with their work), I've bonded with Oscar, Lucy, Theo, even cantankerous Uma. I'd rather see more of Uma than the celebrity cameos personally. Meryl Streep is a legend and I love seeing her but I suspect we won't see much of her next season, see New Zealand/Streep's real life commitments.
@lonelyone13 күн бұрын
Agree with all your points. I don't think Marshall had the foresight to stash a camera in Charles's apartment in the 12 minutes between shooting Sazz, cleaning up the crime scene and incinerating her. And yet, he was reacting to everything that was happening in that apartment in his texts from Sazz's phone, so I guess he was watching them? And yeah, the thing that bothers me the most is why she would include the Dudenoff detail in her script (including the ACTUAL working door code). What script was she writing? I assumed it was season 1 of the podcast? I don't understand how she has this relationship with the Westies and all that. Why did she tell Helga that Marshall had been harassing her, when they were obviously so close? Why wouldn't Sazz have mentioned ANY of this to Charles at any point? Including all the "plot holes" she found from the first season. It's all so stupid!
@ritaamor28313 күн бұрын
@@lonelyoneI agree with everything you guys said, everything was a bit dumb this season, too much info and characters without pertinence. How on earth would the trio sign up for a movie without reading the script? Apparently everything was there. Wouldn’t they notice that only someone close would know so many details and not a kid from L.A.? And Sazz telling someone who betrayed her all her plans for the next day, that she was going to tell Charles, that she was going to the opening etc to Marshall?? And Marshall in the end getting killed through a blinded window?? The show has become too cartoonish. It had a cost feeling to it, but it kind of made sense. Also, I didn’t care for so many celebrity appearances this season. Meryl Streep was amazing singing in the previous season. But Eva Longoria, the others, George’s sister...just too much without real value. I did laugh out loud with the Christmas guy acting the jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise’s scene, that was hilarious. That was what I liked about the show, laughs while solving a misters plausibly in the background.
@_peporo13 күн бұрын
I agree with a lot of your plot hole points. However, I do believe some of these details will be addressed next season(I believe is also the last). The woman at the end claimed her husband’s death is closely tied to the Arconia. I think this is where the cameras, the FBI, possibly the “watching you” notes(unless we’re supposed to believe this was by Sazz or Marshall, which doesn’t make much sense)? I would also love to see older faces take the screen again! It was nice seeing Winnie, Dickie, and Oliver’s son this episode, albeit brief. Here’s to hoping season 5 is better!
@liluziintrovert13 күн бұрын
Well I can answer a couple. 2) it’s not Marshall. It’s the person who poisoned Winnie and left the notes behind in season 1, we still don’t have the answer to it as it’s an over arching story throughout the series 3) Jan has prison ties so it could be possible that she has connections. Considering she’s been living in the Arconia it’s possible she got the gun before even going into Charles apartment. 4) it was not to tease the fans about if it’s Loretta or Sazz, those were fans speculating. It was simply to imply mystery behind the character. And it could simply be because the group and Helga were on a bad standing when she left 5 and 6) she didn’t personally know the group, she only knew Sazz. They know about Sazz THROUGH helga because Sazz was always on her ham radio. And the door code, it’s not really important tbh, if a actor in a movie says “oh my password is 1234” nobody watching is going to assume they could steal their phone and that’s going to be the actual password. And Marshall mentions that the westies were put into the movie basically as a b plot distraction of suspect, much like they were in this season. Season 1 truthfully didn’t have alot of main suspects except Teddy and Jan so Sazz could’ve introduced the west tower for new suspects 8) the script was constantly changing with rewrites from Marshall and he mentions as soon as he got the script he wrote out all of the details about the westies because he believed they were “unimportant”. Also next season I believe will focus more on people in the building due to the victim. This season had to focus on Hollywood because of Sazz and her connections, hence stuff like the movie and the cameos, but considering Lester is the new victim it’s likely to be centered around people he knew and the missing person they talk about

So Mabel is quick to say to the Westies that she'll call DI Williams if they don't come clean with her, but doesn't call DI Williams when they find the cameras connected to Sazz's missing phone that are surveilling them? Why is the phone still missing? Who has it? Marshall or someone else? Why hasn't it been recovered? By the FBI or DI Williams? Even the trio could find a hacker somewhere who could track it down.

I agree that by now there are too many characters. It’s always good to have more than just the final suspects, but it was too much, the sister, the brother in law, the movie crew, the brothers sisters, bakula, helga, Dudenoff, Marshall, bev, Marshall, the westies, the regulars Howard and uma, etc, the movie cast, etc etc. and we already are attached to some other characters that disappeared like the son of the Dimas (forgot the name) specially if they assign a famous actor to each secondary character it becomes too much In my opinion. For example, imagine if in season 1 when they go to the tattoo shop, everybody was a famous actor there. Even the adolescent friends of Mabel, Tim Konos and the other weren’t famous actors, it becomes too much.

Still don’t know who called Lester about the bullet hole, and suspicious that he delivered dry cleaning and the whole mob case is with a dry cleaning operation. I honestly thought this season was kind of mid. But, on a character level- Oliver's wedding got a tear out of me and his relationship with charles felt sweet for the first time in the whole show. That being said, I was a little dissapointed the killer is revealed outright in episode 9 and episode 10 dosen't include any further crazy twist, just an info dump on how he did but some threads left hanging. Why was the apartment in Sazz's script?? what's the relevance of it if she's specifically adapting the tim kono case. They've could have added a line that said Jan had at some point used it to explain why Sazz is even putting it in the script or why she knows about it at all. Anyway, it seems next season might be the last one (who knows at this point) so i'll see you all here next year :) take care and thanks for the great videos double p

110% Detective. The bond of the Podcast Trio is the strength of the show! See you next mystery!
@Captain_Subpar13 күн бұрын
They didn't need any evidence that Marshall was a hunter. Marshall told us how great his vision was which would have led you down the same trail. I appreciate your more positive take on the finale. I feel like a lot of people online have these unrealistic standards that the mystery has to be air tight, super in depth, and really hard to solve BUT not so hard that it's impossible or too easy that it's solved well before the finale. Every murder has been solvable but OMITB is still a comedy first and a murder mystery second. Plus, I think a lot of fans forget that most people watching just watch the episode each week and then don't really think about it until the next week. So while guessing Marshall might have been easy for you or I, I doubt it was that simple for a casual viewer. To me, that's the sweet spot and I believe seasons 3 and 4 nailed that aspect. My only real complaint that I wanted something bigger to wrap up the season 4 mystery. If you're going to reveal the killer in episode 9, you should have some bigger reveal planned for episode 10 (besides the expected next murder). It's a bit disappointing that there were so many extra characters this season and none of them were in the finale or they were barely present. I'm excited for next season. I think some of these so-called plot threads will just never be picked up on again because they're not important. But I do believe that most of them will come back around. I just hope that fans don't get their expectations too high and end up disappointed if every little detail isn't explored and explained. And really, having it end with someone who was ever present throughout the series be the final season victim just makes sense. It's sad but it puts a bow on the whole show.

I'm still stuck on the part where Charles and Oliver crawled through Vince's window to get to Mabel, even though in episode 2 Vince said his windows were painted shut. If the writers completely forgot about it then fine, but I spent the last few minutes of the episode mulling over it for nothing lol It'd be a crazy plot twist if Uma was the one who wrote the notes, highly unlikely but still funny as hell; she's always in the building, still blames them for Bunny's death, and aside from her softer moments, she absolutely despises the trio. Ending my comment on a funny note, you know when Lester was talking about how he became a doorman in Season 2, I legitimately thought he was being sarcastic. 😅

It`s exciting to learn about Arconia`s characters and their secrets, the plotline with Westies was my favourite one. Still, the mob story may shift the plot away and make more space for unpredictable twists. That`s Ok but when the theories are endless, it`s quite impossible for audience to find the hint. It`d better not to go out too far from the Arconia and its occupances in the following season.

We were taken by surprise by the murderer's background. Who knew he was raised by a hunter? That IS the point. How many of us know much about anyone else? Not surprising no one knew anything about him. Look at serial killers. Neighbors say they didn't know him well. Kept to himself. That's this character. Who was in Sazz's house when the trio went there..etc... and all the other questions have been mentioned by other Arconiacs in the comments . I kept waiting for the plot twist with Marshal as it was too obvious. They made it so obvious that i thought it wasn't him , maybe its a reverse psychology strategy. And yk , in the previous seasons, all the side stories were related to the main plot ... Season 1 : fire alarm, tye dye guy , dimas, cinda ( related to the next murder) Season 3 : the only side story that was not really related to the murder was Tobert although he provided the trio with some evidence/ clues .. But season 4 ??? They developed sooo much on the westies and they haven't contributed to the crime at all ??? Not even solving it ..just that " ding dong " part There was Charles sister.... The stuff about Winnie is dealing with the other all story, same with the cameras in their apartment so we weren’t going to get an answer until next season, and presumably the person in Sazz’s house was Marshall. For my rankings, I have: 1. Season 1 - The good thing with this season is that they basically solves two murders in one since Tim was linked to both in some way. The trio was fun as they were just getting to know each other, and I felt like there was new evidence being found every episode that linked to either one or both of the murders. I liked how they left certain evidence like Tim's relationship with Jan until the latter bits of the season because that the key bit of evidence left to solve that case. Teddy and Theo I also greatly enjoyed in this season as it was interesting watching them go from friends to enemies after they realized the trio was on to them. 2. Season 4 - I feel like this season is in a way quite similar to season one where there were two deaths, but the Dudenoff apartment was the link between them this time. I feel like people expected way too much of this finale when it has been known that writers have kept the murder details relatively simple each season. I also liked how they tried to paint Marshall as a writer with imposter syndrome by stating he's trying to not just be a writer but look like one too, only for his real imposter syndrome being a guy who is taking credit for a script he didn't write. I like how they left some details for his full background and motive out until the last episode. Honestly, the only episode I felt wasn't really needed was the Valley of the Dolls episode. 3. Season 2 - This season is unique with the fact that Poppy not being fully revealed as the killer until the finale was great. However, I got very suspicious of her from episode 6 onward mainly due to the fact that she was in a state of panic calling Mabel after the glitter bomb. You could tell Poppy held herself relatively stable after any interaction with Cinda no matter good or bad, and seeing that made you very suspicious of her the entire second half of the season which kinda brought down the mystery element for me. The Rose Cooper side plot for me was interesting, but didn't hold the impact that the Zoey murder had in Season 1. 4. Season 3 - This season was almost too simple in regards to the murder mystery. I'm not lying when I say I could tell Cliff was involved from the first episode after seeing Ben and Cliff interact at the dinner party. It also felt like there were multiple episodes where there was no new evidence being found. From episode 5 until episode 9, it felt like all those episodes were just filler. Especially once they zoned in on Donna in episode 9, I knew how episode 10 was gonna go revealing that Cliff pushed him down the elevator shaft because he didn't want his mom to go to jail. The relationship between the two deaths was quite easy to figure out. Even though this is my least favorite of the seasons, I still enjoyed it greatly especially since that Pickwick Triplets song is still too catchy.

I wish they would stop putting those on Camera. That is not how I want to remember any one them. What I truly enjoyed about this episode was Charles and Oliver ledge dancing to save Mabel. Vince and Rudy's hilarious distraction to save the trio. The Wedding of Wonder and connection of community and friends. I feel a bit guilty about Lester, having suspected him of being the mastermind. RIP Lester, I hope we see more of you in Season 5. Love your podcast. Looking forward to season 5 with you.

Saz’s note at the beginning of the script is suspicious. She mentions finding a hero and taking them on a journey but that things don’t always end as planned. When she says not everyone gets a happy ending, she’s not talking about herself. She wrote the script well before anyone even wanted to kill her. I think that alludes to Saz having a hand in orchestrating all the crazy stuff at the Arconia. Did she have a hand in pushing the “plot” forward? I don’t think we’re done with Saz’s storyline. And the fact that Saz read it out at the beginning and they showed it to us again later on... I think we’re supposed to be paying attention to what she’s saying

Also Marshall mentioned that Saz wrote a whole section on the Dudenoff apartment and the westies that he didn’t understand and took out of the script. & it was still never confirmed who the blonde with the pigtails was in that westies photo. I feel like Saz and Charles’ friendship was romanticized after her death. In reality she didn’t usually seem like a great friend during the show. Plus Mable is going to start working on a project about Saz so she may uncover more stuff next season. It all seems weird and like they’re trying to point to something… But they may just be loose ends

I had fun this season! It was clever to have Marshall mislead the viewers. Burning Sazz's body was intriguing . Was Sazz really dead? Was she the target? What about all those plot holes? All clever ways to spur the conversation and make this season spicy! Agree, him scaling around outside is far fetched. But this show is a comedy first and a mystery second. Season 3 was the best. Was a complete season, had the best overall theme, all the guest stars had major stories to play, had the most longevity in terms of impact (Meryl and Paul Rudd both got to continue multiple seasons), and the music was gorgeous, and it had the best setting, and gave us a break from always being in the Arconia, and the killer's motivation made sense. Season 2 is second best because it's hella entertaining and you didnt know which way it would go because all the possibilities were open, and there was no formula yet. The part about the murder weapon coming back to them because the killer was framing them was a really amazing storyline that carried the middle half of the season, and we learned a lot about everyone's backstories that made us come to love these characters. Season 4 is third best so far because it kind of had a bit of everything, but didnt pull it off as effectively as the other two seasons. The Westies ultimately ended up being pointless, Dudenoff didnt lead to anything major, and was mostly a waste of time whereas Season 2 and 3 knew how to redirect your attention effectively. It was the most stae studded season by far but because there were so many it was mostly like stunt casting and everyone struggling for proper airtime, so they all had a tiny role that didnt do much. This season was a whole lotta flash, not a lot of substance. And honestly, Marshall's motivation was terrible and i didnt buy him with a rifle and climbing the ledge with no fear of heights at all. I can believe a Broadway producer with cancer killing to keep her son's career afloat to prevent a flop in S3, but a choice between assassin or writer, and becoming a stuntman but you were kicked out from set but yet you can climb ledges no problem? It makes no sense. And Season 1 was the worst because they were still figuring out how to make the show entertaining. Its really slow most of the time, but with a really strong ending, and the atmosphere had not really caught on yet.

And now Lester? The show looses his credibility if every season people in the building die, IMO. I know that’s the name of the show, but they could have come up with something more cleaver than, sadly, Lester’s body in the fountain. The missing husband could, for example, track back to one the past crimes, uncovering something we didn’t knew, or be related to the building without an obvious murder at the end of the season.

I am wondering if season five is going to tie up all sorts of loose ends, like the brothel, and if there will be more to the Westies story line, and Lesters story. And if there is a mafia plot that will be woven into the Arconia story. The writers of the show are so clever, I’m sure they have a lot that they would like to finish up in this last season, if it is the last season. And if Charles will get a new love interest!

I never thought about the footprint on the radiator being him stepping on it to get out the window After having a duo in season 2 and kinda a duo in season 3, I was kinda upset by the fact that they were going to do it again. Same reason why I was upset by the idea of Loretta doing it because I didn’t want a “scorned lover of one of the main characters” sort of story like season 1

I like the idea that the Cachamellio family was responsible for the 6th Ave Slasher! That could be why Sophia said the disappearance of her husband had “everything” to do with the Arconia. When the trio told her they weren’t a detective agency and only investigated murders IN the building, she had mentioned that there was “no doorman on duty” at the time. That leads me to think she isn’t the one who killed him, although it is heavily implied that she may have been behind a murder to enlist the trio’s help. I wonder if Lester’s murder and the brutality of it was less about him being murdered for a particular reason and more about him being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It feels like a “mob hit”, so my tin foil hat theory, similar to yours, is that Sophia’s husband was the 6th Ave Slasher. Or he knew who was and it was someone from “the family” and has gone missing because he literally knows where the bodies are buried. In going to check the Arconia for the proof, he comes across Lester and kills him to protect himself. One last thing: I’m assuming the “I’m watching you” text was from someone who had read the script Sazz wrote and knew about it from the script - not necessarily the same person. So Marshall may have sent the text and placed a camera because he knew about the Season 1 note.

Maybe I made it too complicated in my head but for Marshall to just fly to New York on a whim, with a rifle, remember the apartment; code; incinerator that he deleted from the screen play, then climb the ledge across to a window that probably would have been locked (not to mention when they pan out the ledge actually stops at the green windows in different locations so that would have been impossible); past a bunch of other windows that people could have seen him and then spend half the episode just telling the hero’s the exposition instead of them discovering it; not to mention Jan had been in the building the whole time - also with a rifle?? Just seemed like the mystery was written as more of a “gotcha” than anything. Step dragging on the ledge was hilarious though and I’m still looking forward to Season 5 when hopefully my suspicions of Cinda Canning come to fruition lol

I haven't been so disappointed by a reveal since The Afterparty season 2. Probably because most of us guessed it was Marshall since episode 5. And we were made to believe he had an accomplice, so this final episode didn't offer any new twists. As for next season, I feel bad that Lester is gone, but obviously he has to have some ties to the mob. He's probably been keeping secrets of the Arconia for years. I wonder if Sofia Caccimelio is the one who did him in, because she was trying to hire the trio, but that seems too obvious (and too early to speculate). Anyway...I'll see y'all next year.

I think we are to assume that the Westie sub plot the crew investigates this season, was the subplot that Marshall cut out of the final script. That's why Sazz was researching "Plot holes". For someone adapting the events of the podcast, these inconsistencies could add up, and Sazz is a pretty forward and proactive person, so I could understand her really getting into the details and trying to figure out what else was going on at the time. It is a stretch to imagine that she would put the code to the apartment in the script, but maybe we can excuse that as an error of a first time screenwriter.

@@DoublePMedia Right, it would definitely take some leaps of logic. I wonder if what Sazz wanted to tell Charles was not just that she wrote a screen play, but that she found evidence of another death at the Arconia. I'm going to be missing my weekly fix of Arconia shenanigans. All the clues we have, all the connections the actors made from the previous seasons (They WERE poking fun at us!) ... and it comes down to a comment about how great of eyesight Marshall has. The other clues about Marshall only point to the fact he's not who he says he is, Glenn commenting on the beard, his horrible scrip writing abilities - but they don't point to him as the murderer. Was it a Clark Kent thing? He puts on the glasses and becomes a clumsy mild mannered writer, when he's really a parkour jumping, super strong, sharpshooting stuntman when he takes them off? Of all the scenes where people were carrying equipment around, we could have seen him helping out in the background. He could have made an off hand comment about his father's hunting habits or how this script was going to finally impress his dad. We could have even seen a "script writing for dummies" book on Sazz's desk. Don't get me wrong, I love this show. I love speculating and trying to piece it together. But the fact is, it is still 95% inferred clues and speculation and "what if" until the killer is actually revealed. Glad they get confessions or nothing would hold up in court. LOL PS. I'm sad to see Lester go. 😭 I hope we see him in many flashbacks next season. And Congrats to Oliver & Loretta. ❤

Season 1 (finale was hilarious but reveal was a little disappointing because of some plot holes) 3. Season 2 (murder and murderer didn’t make a lot of sense but finale was very creative and hilarious) 4. Season 4 (disappointing reveal and finale. Hero’s were just told what happened instead of figuring it out and there was like 25 minutes of show just left on the floor that could have made it better. Bad taste in my mouth after that one)

Can’t the mob be connected to the Arconia? What if Lester cared too much and tried to protect the residents of the Arconia and it got him in trouble?

I would LOVE that to be the story - Lester protecting the Arconia and his frieds

I think this season had a problem not going off too far from the main plot and especially in terms of balancing jokes/wackiness and seriousness. However, there were some of my favourite episodes in here (when they found Sazz' ashes... goosebumps! Also the camera episode), and I also respect how both the last episode kept the tension high even when the killer was already found/dead, through hinting that Mable or Loretta could be the next murder victims. Then again, the deus ex machina killing of Marshall... dunno. I think the writers had a big task to put Dudenoff and the movie into one story, and did it mostly well, but some characters (like Helga) were a bit too strange and disappointing. Glenn Stubbon's ridiculous accent also may have thrown some people off

Something im also confused, Jan knew about Marshall or did she hear charles talking ? Did she escape to find the killer of her lover ? How did she have such a good aim ? Where did she learn how to use such weapons? WHERE DID SHE GET IT? also ... I think the bag that charles lost is related to S5
@DoublePMedia13 күн бұрын
Boy that is a great question. What if she missed? When did Jan become a sharp shooter :) I hope the S5 suit bag comes back!

I was a bit disappointed with this season while I really enjoyed 1, 2, 3. Many questions remain unanswered. Episode 9 came out of nowhere: suddenly Marshall is a hunter/sniper, and Sazz is a writer... Sure... 😅 (No, just having good eyesight doesn’t make you a sniper). The whole crime plot actually doesn’t make much sense... Using a sniper rifle in the Arconia, even though there was no plan for Sazz to be alone in Charles's apartment; she could have told Charles earlier at the party, stayed out of sight the entire night, etc. It was a really poor plan to keep her from revealing his secret. Thankfully, following this trio is always a pleasure :)

Jan shooting Marshall through a window blind was what I disliked most. The shooting of Sazz also didn’t make much sense...he could most easily do it back in L.A. without being caught...

Add me to the crew that was mainly disappointed with Season 4. The Guest Stars and comedy bits seem to be the main focus to the season; the episodes were only 30 minutes long; and while it teased a series-long “Big Bad” who may be out to kill Charles/all of the Trio, the S4 storyline did not (apparently) advance that mystery. I say the Big Bad Mystery was “apparently” not advanced, because one possibility is that all of S4 was a set-up for S5, where the Big Bad will be the main focus-and there are clues in S4 that we will need to use to solve the mystery. That would explain all the false clues/unresolved questions in S4; some of them you mentioned. Looking forward, the possible connection between the Big Bad & Tea Leoni’s “Sophia” & Lester can be woven into a satisfying storyline. Especially if Charles (who immediately spoke about his attraction to “Sophia”) becomes romantically involved with a woman who is part of a Mob “Cleaner”/Hitman squad-that may have included Lester. My pre-season theories for S5. First, as you & many others have suggested, the Trio is in danger b/c they solves crimes at the Arconia-and the Mob has used the Arconia as a burial site for its murder victims; and is afraid the bodies will be discovered, and implicate the Mob. Also, while I know my personal obsession is people being alive who we thought were dead, I’m holding onto my theory that Dudenoff is NOT dead-and is part of the Mob Hit Squad, and faked his death to disappear from the Mob & the police. Dudenoff is the Big Bad…and it might be fun if he appears in S5 in a disguise as a different, new character before we see him take off his make-up in a mid-season episode. Bottom line: although I’m disappointed in S4, they can make it right by connecting the loose ends to S5. Thanks for hosting S4 conversations on OMITB.

I *hope* the Arconia Big Bad will truly tie into the Lester/Sophia storyline... but I wonder if they're 2 separate stories like the Westies and the Hollywood crew were this season

The last episode was so weak that it seems suspicious. Throughout the entire series, including the fourth season, we saw a very well crafted script, well thought out dialogue, incredible performances and very clean and elegant comedy. The simplicity of the season finale doesn't match what we've seen. I was expecting a good ding dong, not solutions like: Mabel: You're very fit for a writer or Sazz: You're the only one who knows and my only copy and lastly, Jane waving from the other side of the building.... It seems they were in a hurry to close the season, however, once an Arconian, always an Arconian. Forever loyal to OMITB and Double P Media theories :D

Thank you for your loyalty. Expect s5 to provide MANY answers, or we storm the Arconia :)

Season 4 was good though the ending was a bit of love and hate. I love that we will have more character development about Lester in season 5. Along with the sub plot being solved because it’ll go hand and hand. I think season 6 would be cool if Jan is killed because she knows who’s after the trio. But I believe season 5 will be just as good as long as they help us to care and have a better understanding of Lester like we did with Tim kono

The mystery parts of OMITB has consistently frustrated me, with important clues not revealed until the end and storylines not wrapped up, too much deus ex machina, but I still love it for the comedy writing. The Billy Joel doorbell alone is enough to make this season enjoyable for me.

Favorite seasons: 3, 4, 1, 2. I enjoyed them all, but season 2 was a little too grim and I didn't like the 'killer reveal party' as much as other final confrontations. You say a stunt person would never do something as crazy as walk a ledge at night. Yes, but Marshall wasn't the picture of sanity. His recklessness ruined his career as a stunt person, and he sold Sazz' script as his own work without ever considering that he might get caught, And the subject of this script was a trio whose claim to fame was solving murders! So, what does he do? What's his solution? Murder a friend of one of these detectives in his own apartment! No, Marshall was too impulsive for his own good. I really hope season 5 isn't the final season. I enjoy this show so much, and would be sad to see it go.

So - Marshall had cameras in the apartments? was that ever made clear? And what about Bev Melon and the gun? And what was Mable's requirements for signing away her life rights?

A lot of positives with this series and overall it was a satisfying ending. I wish we got more of Sazz being a writer and Rex’s past scattered earlier to make it believable. I also really hope that series 5 reduces cameos. Maybe it’s a British thing, but none of them stuck with me and it became utterly annoying at times. Let’s stick the Arconia too.
@DoublePMedia13 күн бұрын
Good thoughts. I do imagine less cameos, however in one of the post season interviews, the co-creator John Hoffman said that he's getting celebrities calling him, asking to be on the show
@jaxpavan212313 күн бұрын
@@DoublePMedia that’s good in the sense that there is a demand for the show to last as it is really good at it’s core. The examples I’ll use from last series would be Ron Howard and John McEnroe. The use of Ron Howard worked as it was directly involved with the plot and was plausible, the tennis one just seemed utterly forced. I also want more of a focus on the original characters too. We’ve seen a lot of Lester, now is our chance to get to know him.
@cheri705413 күн бұрын
You know in season 2 they showed the day Bunny died. If they do the same and show Lester's life and what happened and how it happened it could get real dark. His scene looked terrible and frankly I don't want to see how he suffered.
