I dislike strapless wedding gowns. They have been done to death and so few brides actually look good in them. Not to mention that they lose the support the straps are designed to provide. Nothing worse than spending your entire wedding day hoisting the top of your sagging multi-thousand pound dress up your torso.

The owner of the shop designed the dresses she tried on (the Dando London brand) so they always push those. I would not go to this store in general with high budget, they don’t have good expensive dresses with exquisite beading or big princess wow dresses. Their best dresses are around 2500-3500 mark.

Yes, the straps and lace framed her face and neckline creating a beautiful focal point. The dress immediately became droopy and frumpy looking over her breasts, making her shoulders appear wider than they are! It was a very bad decision. I would have tucked the straps in for the ceremony and wore them for the reception and dance. Two looks if she wanted something different. I think she will regret it come the wedding day.
@terrynstasha
@terrynstasha 3 жыл бұрын
The straps didnt just give structure to the bust its what held up and gave structure to all that lace around the back. There is nothing that will keep it in place now. You can see in one of the clips that the lace in the back is folded over and looks to be tucked into her armpit to hold it up. Its at about 9:19 while she is turning around you see it in the mirror reflection. She so screwed up that dress. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m glad that the spaghetti strap bride is happy but I feel like she looked absolutely radiant in the dress when it had straps. It was unique and elegant and looked so classy. As soon as the straps were cut off, the dress immediately became boring and plain. thats wrong actually, its a dress that is elegant with the straps because of the frame of the dress, if you add a long veil to it you will see the shape now it just looks like a strapless dress for no reason, it is meant to hold girls in and she ruined that certain shapes are meant to have straps for the pattern it doesn't look right if she wanted a strapless dress she should have done that instead of ruining someone else's work its insulting to the designer of the gown

Those straps are minuscule. And why didn’t she let them know at the appointment she wanted the straps off? I think the dress looked much better with the straps. It looks now like the top could easily fall down.

Without the straps it looks like hundreds of other dresses, the straps made the dress so beautiful and I think she ruined it. But well, it's her day and she has to feel comfortable in it.

I feel like after the fitter cut the straps the bride did not look happy. Yes she said she liked it but it didn’t look like she did at all. I feel like she regretted it

Say Yes to the Straps 👍 The dress looked so pretty and feminine with the straps. Cut off .. nothing special about it

I never would have cut the straps off…. How will she get the support she needs in that area?? Like they’ll need to add in an underwire or cups or something!

She was wrong to get rid of the straps..this dress doesn't have a bodice or corset to hold it up so she is going to be falling out at the top and having to keep pulling it up.. added to that it was a much planer dress without the straps..

So why buy a dress that has straps in the first place with 90% of dresses out there are strapless with a sweetheart neckline?!?!?

By taking the straps away, I feel it messed up the back of the dress. Wouldn't be my choice.

My mom was a seamstress and I recall her saying it was back luck to cut a garment when someone was wearing it. 😆 Hopefully the marriage lasts.

I'm afraid that dress is going to fall down without the straps because it doesn't have the structure to hold it up.

I love the first brides personality and she's a stunning bride! For the second bride, I hope her dress has enough structure to stay up without the straps, as it wasn't originally constructed with the boning and stuff that usually holds up strapless dresses... I don't understand why they are always showing brides with a small budged over-budget dresses and then there's a bride with a bigger budget and they show her the same 1700 dress they show everyone .. of course even with an infinite budget you can find a "cheap" dress that is more beautiful than all the others, but still
