I test drove a new 24 Mojave off road over in the Oscella National forest, tire pressures was 37 psi, I thought it rode real harsh, causing the brand new Mojave to rattle. I ended up buy a new Willys, that also comes with a Rear Locker and with 32 inch Firestone Mud Terrain tires for about $16K less than the Mojave. Just yesterday the wife anf I took our brand new Willys on the same trails. The Willys rides a lot smoother over the pot holes and the rough areas than the Mojava did. Also, the Willys comes with the same higher front fenders like the Rubicon and Mojava.

Nice congrats on the new jeep! 37 psi seems really high we run 35 on the street and between 15-10 on the trails I would say for a back road at a higher speed 20 psi would be best. But yea not sure why you had such a bad experience my Mojave is the smoothest factory jeep I’ve ever been in.

They do fine on the rocks, again it come one inch higher then the rubicon so better clearance. Unless you are really doing some challenging trails you rarely need both a front and rear locker. I have a 22 Mojave. Manual, cloth povery model, lol. I have been eyeing an 11.5 width 35 on stock rim. Lots of success online with that pizza cutter look/clearance on stock Mojave rims/suspension. It has occured to me though that i have a set of nice 20inch American Racing truck rims lying around, with correct lug fit, but 45mm backspacing as for another project initially. Sounds like if i put about a 30mm wheel spacer in it, i'd be same fitment as you on the 35x12s with 15mm backspace. I did not catch your rim diameter. Not doing any serious trails with it, but no mall crawler either so sensitive to 20s not offering up same offroad capability/protection, bit similar sidwall height as stock. What was your rim diameter on new wheels? Am i on the right track?
@forcemotoring1551 Жыл бұрын
I’m not a big 20 guy for a couple reasons, tires are usually weigh more money, and like you said you have a lot left side wall so off road can be tough. I think the fitment would work to clear them but I bet you could get hood money for those wheels if you wanted to go to a 17. The wheels on the Mojave and most of my vehicles are 17 because you have a lot of tire options and it gives you the most and on the sidewalk while still being able to fit over modern brakes.

Nice! I ran across this looking for the biggest tires on a Mojave without a lift. Great job thank you! Late last year I got a black 2022 with a manual transmission, which I love. I didn't go out thinking I'd be getting the manual, but it's so easy to drive. It sat on the lot for a couple of months and they dropped the price, I imagine no one wanted a manual so I decided to grab it. It had 8 miles on it and got it several $K under sticker. Tough to pass up under $50k. It's a pretty basic package but it comes with a lot as is. The only thing I've done to it is spray a Line-X liner on for $700. Now I'm looking at the larger tires, a wench and that's going to be all I do with it aside for some minor add-ons. It's an awesome Jeep to own.
