I have an extra brake light like that on the way. Thanks for giving me the idea to order one. Now I noticed you put screws in the clips. Are those included? And if not, what screws are they?

My bike the light bar is a tail light & brake light. Wondering if that is a USA thing or non-BMW

Could be a USA spec - I've not seen one over here working as a tail light. I actually think I would prefer that.

if you're in the fortunate position to buy a new RT/GT(L) or you already have an RT, but no top box, you can always negotiate the extra brake light as part of the deal. BMW salesmen always have margins. I got my brand new top box painted to my bike, with the light (and a keyed lock) for £650 fitted. If you don't ask, you don't get! £150 is ridiculously expensive for a part that probably costs £5 to make.
