A lot of original intake manifolds are fine for engines because the OEMs design for the most power and torque production over the widest range. Which is what your original manifold did, long runners for torque and better average power, this shorter newer plenum will move the power band up the rev range but you can compensate for that a little bit because you are turbo charged.
