I was like them until I put a bigger diameter clutch master cilinder and now I can disengage the clutch more and now the disc is free. I can change into 3rd spining standing still

So true mate, my ST is 308bhp and 517nm that was on a hot day 25c temps. And that’s nice power for daily use, of course I want 600bhp but I doubt I’ll have as much enjoyment because it’ll be all over the road with fair bit more lag. I will be going maximum 450bhp with an RS setup and that’ll be me 👍🏻

Having a Focus Rs also tuned by Sam myself, I can safely say anything more than about 430bhp in a fwd RS is completely pointless, even in mine at 430bhp, you dont get grip until 3rd on the best of days & you are just (having fun) holding on for life with all the torque steer lol! This dude in his RS made the right move going AWD in his RS for the power he has, but watching this video, it seems he definitly aint used to its power yet.

Jesus, who mapped these? It seems like theres nothing there until 1k below the limiter. No point having all that power if its not useable. Also, why dont people practice so they can actually launch, change gear, etc? It seems like they just mash the throttle and bang it iff the limiter for 5 minutes before changing gear. Why not modulate it with your foot and a decent map? I love watching a good driver in a manual that works. There doesn't seem to be any driver skill anymore, its all driver aids and programming. When thats not there... Heres the result. Its a shame. Good on you all for having a go but why not practice first, make the car reliable and learn to modulate wheelspin and get it mapped so you can actually accelerate through 90% of the rev range rather than 10%

Dan @ RnD is meant to be a decent tuner. The problem with the VXR is the turbo is a 3584, it's huge for the power it's running, equivalent to a G35-1050 which is insane to strap to a 2L. Should make around 600hp with a G25-660 or G30-660, with nowhere near the lag. 900hp capable turbo on a 600hp car 😬

Vxr is a hard car to get shifting right if you have the stock shifter. It has to have the polyurethane bushes and short shifter and it helps alot. Gearbox mountings also has lots of movement making it harder to get right
