FITTING A REVERSING CAMERA | PEUGEOT BOXER VAN CONVERSION | VAN LIFE UK
So I’ve taken a week off work and Archie has gone to my mothers so I can work on the van to try and get as much built as possible, first stop is to go and visit Tabitha and Liam. Hoping to stay a few days to work on my Peugeot Boxer off grid van build, ready for when I can hit Europe and live the van life with my dog Archie.

There’s a spare switched feed terminal block in the rear drivers pillar about 1/4 of the way up. This is linked to the reverse light circuit. Connect the camera to this by cutting off the connector and run a 2 core in parallel to the monitor. Will switch camera and monitor on when engaging reverse.

It’s the black connector with yellow band on it. Light gauge wiring. 17 reg boxer

I put the brake light in this morning but it’s bolts that come with this one is awful. I used PVC piping with a slot in it to tighten the wing nuts because my big fingers couldn’t fit....

@@PackTheVanAndGo yeah, while I was installing the MaxxFan, I put in the same reverse camera light... camera not yet connected. I am waiting for some 7 core cable to arrive so I can future proof the camera cabling...

Hey there, great vid! Exactly what I need… have you had any issues with these devices being attached to what is effectively a constant live circuit? Eg that interior light is live even when the ignition is not on, same for the unused cable you found in the fuse box, so am I right in thinking the camera will always draw a current even when the ignition is off? And that you need to remember to turn the screen off when you park up? Have you had any flat battery issues?!?

Hi, never had any issues, never had a flat battery since being installed and yes, you need to turn switch and turn off the reversing camera to use!
