It weighs around half as much as a Wooden tailpiece so it'll really enhance the sound by allowing the top to vibrate more freely & even for expensive instruments things will get easier.

I put blue painters tape the feet of the bridge so it wont move.

Thanks very much. Very clear instruction. For a viola, would the same afterlength rule apply -- i.e., 1/6 of the playing length?

Same after length for all the strings

Yes. Violas are always tricky tho, sometimes you'll need a longer or shorter tailpiece, also making sure the strings were made for the string length on your instrument is very important
