So for those of us that are running the old school throttle body motors what he's saying is you're going to have to get more creative in making horsepower some other way or have a bunch of money or a machine shop but I like the video.

Great Vid. I have a fresh 355 with Dart heads that were from a circle track car. Heads were milled and i can see light on #8 intake through my victor Jr intake. My machine shop said to use washers on all 4 corners that equal gasket I'd. Then mold BB` model clay on all runners top and bottom. Slice in half and measure depth. Going to try tomorrow. Also china wall close but not hitting yet. Anything else i can try? Thanks. John

Well you said you machined the heads down that would explain why you don't have 60 thousands and why your holes are off

Well when the heads have to be surfaced to a specific chamber size per the customer request, yes things are going to have to be machined to fit. its also done to get the best port to port alignment that we can. Its rare that any head and intake combo has perfect alignment out of the box.

@@BrzezinskiRacingProducts yeah I'm not disputing that I'm just saying the heads being surfaced or milled I'm not sure how much you took off but that explains why your intake bolt holes are slightly off as well

Is it possible to put the old school 88 tuned port intake off of a 88 iroc z with 5.7 on to a 98 5.7 out of a 2500 series truck thank you

The heads were milled to raise compression. The block might have been decked too. That would throw off the intake alignment. Brzezinski machines heads for racing and modifies intakes for optimum fit.

Why don't any one tell that when you switch to Vortec Heads you also have to change the intake cause the regular,(older)SBC Intake won't work.

Those intakes are for vortec heads... There was so much milled off the head surface, the intakes don't line up properly. Milling surface material off of the heads drops and shifts the intake port and shifts the bolt hole locations outward enough to cause the issues pointed out

Well they are vortec heads they are obviously different you have to do your research before purchasing not all small block parts are the same

Gorilla glue and zip ties works for me.
