Ok so I have just finished install my Recaro Pole Position using the same rail Nagisa Auto seat rail... here is my review Recaro Pole Position (10/10) - Excellent quality, materials are fantastic, removable cushions to sit lower in the car, Highly recommend! Nagisa Auto seat rail (3/10) - Does Not directly bolt in. The rail when install onto the side of the pole position is about 25-30mm from the mounting holes in the chassis. This is due to the seat rail being designed to fit smaller bucket seats (pole positions are classified as large seats for big guys). The outer rail closest to the door required cutting using an angle grinder and re-welding to offset the bracket by 30mm. The seat belt buckle also does not work well with the rail as it contacts with the seat and makes latching the seat belt impossible. I managed to make it work by installing the latch with the eject button facing against the seat and the slot against the transmission tunnel & bending the bracket slightly. There is just enough space to lock the latch when the user is trained, not a friendly setup for new/random drivers or passengers. This is not user-friendly install at all, I would not recommend for those looking for a direct plug and play setup. I now understand why there is no video shots of Dave or Pete installing the seat with rail into the car :( Hope this helps anyone looking to copy this setup.

They really spent some time and thought in the seat rails. The seat belt isn't always remembered or cared about. I do however hate purchasing something that I then have to modify, while it's being sold as a remedy for something it's replacing and they should have thought about it.

I kinda miss my old NB. They are a fun car. Are you going to do something about the diff? By the looks of the absence of the stock Nardi steering wheel that means your NB doesn't have the stock Torsen LSD. By the way the stock Nardi wheel is one of the best feeling wheels I have driven with. Looking forward to see this little car rip on a track. All my old NB saw was the highways of california and the mountain roads of California. I may consider another NA or NB in the future but it would have to be a second or third car. Miata's make great cars if you are young and don't need space but for a singular car they are just too small and have limited functionality. Great fun though, nothing like ripping around turns and feeling like you are hauling ass when you are way below the speed limit.

If you're of a normal height (>5'-8"), you really only have 2 options: Sparco Sprint or Tillet B6. Anything with normal (read wide) shoulder wings will hit the door when you mount it low enough to actually pass a broomstick test. If you need an XL seat, you need to buy another car. Period. Mounting the wings above the door panel will result in a seating position at least as high as stock. The door panel is pretty thin in the area it will contact, so even hacking up or completely removing the door panel will not get you much more than 1/4". It's an unbelievably tight fit. I measured literally every single FIA-rated seat and spent weeks researching Miata builds. Had I known how much effort it would take to get me into a reasonably comfortable driving position at 5'-11" I would have probably just bought another car. I've spent more time working on improving the driving position than any other aspect of the car.
