I say any 95-04 maxima,vq30 or vq35 and available in manual with an lsd.the 95-99 weighs only 2900 lbs fully loaded and ran low 14s stock.

I like the idea of this, but would be nice if you guys stayed away from BMWs and Honda' for a bit, feels like we have have seen so many videos on these haha. The idea of a G35 and a G8 was pretty cool, another couple suggestions could be a 3000GT(if you can find one), Genesis Coupe (as they are coming down in price), maybe a mazdaspeed 3 or 6, Subaru WRX, an eclipse/talon.

Put damn near the cheapest garbage header on and wrapped it in "catch my leaky Subaru on fire" material..... Killer B, grimmspeed, or ETS are the only decent options. Don't bother with heat wrap, just use formable shielding.

Almost every car you’ve listen cannot be had for under $6k in Wisconsin without significant rust or issues. BMW 128i?? Those are $8000+ Ge Honda fit manual? Usually beat up and rusted and still want $5k but then it’s hard to modify. Maybe Canada is cheaper with their currency difference as mentioned.

A Volvo! P2 platform is great, even if not an R, stout, fairly reliable if maintained and pretty tough against rust. P1 platform shares a platform with the Ford Focus/Mazda3, so there is suspension interchangeability (and a few other things) so a C30/S40/V50 would be cool too. In Canada the C30s could have the NA 2.4, or a T5.
