I currently have 13k saved for a project car, I sold my turbo foxbody 7 years ago and figured I'm at a point now I'd like to build an EG k20 civic, after looking at just the garbage swap kits. Eh, I can build another 9 second mustang for less than 10k. Looks like I'll be going the cheaper route as usual. If the Hondas were affordable I'd build one. Isn't that sad, it's cheaper to build a 9 second mustang than it is to build a stock k20 swapped civic.....holy fuck I thought slow cars were cheap to build. 😂

1st Gen ISF is undoubtedly cool and would be a great successor, but would it be more stressful to drive in the sense of rust and/or damage from the road/other drivers? The Flexus is not a beater car per se, but has a IDGAF air about it - it will take the bumps and bruises with less to worry about compared to an ISF. The S/C setup still makes me want to go with an Elate setup for my Tundra, except I've heard that even the M90 based TRD supercharger is tough on and can bend 2UZ rods...

plastic endtanks aren't a BMW only issue, they plague GM, Ford, Dodge, Audi, VW.. etcetra as well, the plastic erodes due to the acidic nature of the coolant, eventually causing seal failure. and requiring radiator replacement.

I so recognize that track. Toronto Motorsport Park in Cayuga. That’s the first track I drove my 2017 Toyota 86 on and it was such a treacherous rainy day. A 2016 Subaru BRZ showed up and we did a drift competition in the rain. It was so much fun.

Love the versatility of the K series. I have a similarly performing car that I did for $4500 CAD but is obviously way less clean. Build out a EK beast for almost 20k or have a fun track type s for 5k

Freaking nice! I know everyone is all about these huge builds but this is what a guy can do in a garage over a couple of weeks of work love the fact you guys spent the time and money where it counts but still attainable to the average car guy with a budget awesome build cannot wait to see it perform on the track!

Super awesome brake conversion. Quick question The front spindles on your EG are they original Civic spindles are those integra spindles. I want to do the front conversion on my Eg and I already have the EX which has the bigger brakes but still wanting to do the mini Cooper swap.
