Fitting Cylinders and Checking Deck Height on Huberts Air-cooled VW Power Plant.

I am back onto Huberts build by getting a base deck height reading and fitting the new AA automotive cylinders.

Many years ago I built a 350 4 bolt main chevy engine and the cylinders were very rusty. I honed them really well and it did fine

Nice information. Those 94mm cylinders look thin from here.

@@vintage76vipergreenBeetle yes, the part that slides into the engine case is thin but technically that part of the cylinder generally see no stress. I've heard of people turning those down even more to fit an engine case machined for 92s
