FITTING DAPOL SEMAPHORE SIGNALS in iTrains

I bought some Dapol semaphore signals to use on my iTrains controlled railway so this shows me fitting them the problems I had and did they work with the kit I bought?
If you want these but to control them with a switch then most of this is what you will have to do but you will need to read both sets of instructions and be sure you are doing the CONNECTIONS right all of this video is only applicable to using the DR5000 with iTrains. PLEASE TAKE CARE.

Hi Rob, Are they something you would do on your layout as they as I said can be operated by a switch but you do need a regulated power source which on mine is in the electronic bit. Hi Neil, Yes putting them on the layout is a bit as you say trial & error but wiring up is all mapped out and you must read the instructions but I now have all 4 in and working so happy now. Ah yes, been considering these for some time. I'm hoping the brain fog will lift when I don't have a school to look after anymore. Good idea opening out the holes a tad, but they're well known to be fragile. I watched a video yesterday with a guy drilling through baseboard with a masonry bit! It worked but I didn't have the heart to try to politely correct him. He didn't put any stop tension on the drill either so the jaws hit the board and rails with a thump...ouch. ATB, Andy.

Hi Andy, It does pay to have a bit of know how in woodwork etc to do this hobby along with electrical,computer & working with small things and we cannot all have those but we get by most of the time do we not so cheers very much for watching and your very nice comments and I now have all 4 signals in and working so pleased I took the plunge but will anymore be coming to the layout maybe not as it is expensive color ones are cheaper when using the Hornby ones. I do like your tutorial videos, they are useful for those who might like to try out iTrains like you. However, my channel has had a small makeover. Like you, I now have a community tab page and I've put up two posts, plus a video to go with the first one from 5th November 2022. There are a few other videos there alongside it, one of which I created especially for you, if you'd like to see Harvey the HST on his first test run. He's yet to meet my steamies. Talking of Dapol, Hattons sent me an email regarding Dapol's second batch of Manor models, due to be released between July and December 2023. I looked through the list, caught sight of my beloved Foxcote Manor, and crazily pre-ordered her then and there. Excuse the Pointer Sisters lyric here: I'm so excited, I just can't hide it, I'm about to lose control and I think I like it. I can't describe how happy I am. My heart leapt with joy, the minute I saw Foxcote Manor on the list.😂

Well explained, they do seem a bit fragile. Might have to be careful you don't knock them accidentally when reaching accross the layout.
