OK thanks for the reply. Can you upload the installation of side skirt extensions video. As the front splitter install seems quite straightforward. With side skirt extensions I can't see how the nuts will be attached to the screw, without taking the side skirt off to hold the nut in place?

1980orangeman I don't have the side skirt yet mate it is a future project so a video will come eventually for that but I am just looking into a new exhaust system at the minute, but once I do get one I will put a guide up

OK thanks again for replying. (My car isn't lowered). So you say screw & bolt the front splitter just incase if impact . Side skirt extensions - could be 3M tape and self tapping screws?

1980orangeman I'd say you would probably get away with it on the side skirts however, be careful I don't drive over anything again or get it caught on a kerb or it will rip it straight off

Yes it is a concern but I'm not lowered, also I'm an SRI so I think 2cm higher than VXR. Generally I just want a sportier look (not VXR replica) as it isn't one. As you said in the video a splitter with side skirt extensions all the way round will look good. And unique as I haven't seen it on a corsa yet.. My side skirt extensions are MAXTON DESIGN & it is very thin & light. One last thing, do you think the self tapping screws will damage the side skirts & do you know if non rust ones are available? Thanks

1980orangeman it will look sick on an Sri!..the self taping screws won't crack the side skirt as it is fibre glass it should just make nice holes and hold to it securely, just make sure when ur putting it on it won't damage any wires etc where every they go in to hold it on

Hello - Good video! I have purchased the side skirt extensions & about to get the splitter. I'm wondering if you can install both with 3M tape self tapping screws & no bolts. What do you think?

If i am honest i wouldn't risk it, the slight bump could tear it off and if your travelling at a high speed and you have to go over something in the road like a "shoe" (weve all had it) it will tear it straight off with how low it makes the car. your suppose to put adhesive tape inbetween any parts that dont join directly to the bumper aswell as the screws anyway, but i really wouldn't do it without the screws, and my advise is get bigger ones than they send you

Love the videos mate! Hopefully picking up my ARDEN blue VXR tomorrow, and I'm planning on doing things like wrapping the vents and spraying the interior parts. Might be a silly question, but do you need to declare these things to your insurer? When I quoted insurance with modifications it jumped to something ridiculous like 6k lol! I'm just weary of making a claim and them not paying out because I didn't declare that I'd wrapped the vents or sprayed the interior? Cheers in advance bud!

Rayim Ullah yes mate this is a future project for me, I'll upload a video on doing that too. I've currently ordered some carbon fibre wrap for the inside centre colum where the radio is so hopefully gonna have a play around with that and a video will be coming for it!

Your videos are good but you actually never really showed how you fit your front splitter you just skipped all the important parts like the drilling how many holes you needed to drill to keep it secure... looks mint mate

vScoobyDoox the splitter itself has a very very thin piece of plastic underneath that scrapes..so it's not a large surface for it to scrape on only way I'll rip it off is if I drive too close to the kerb when I'm parking but I always reverse in the bays haha

Just I have the same splitter got it the other day and with 16th bolts and I was like where do all these go... haven't fitted it yet looks easy enough!!

How many of the bolts did you put in? I know it comes with the 4 holes to show where to do them but did you add any extra ones in or did you just use the standard 4??

i used the standard 4 however, think of this as the spilliter __I__I__I__ where the verticle lines are i added one bolt into each one of those to make sure it stayed connected in the middle

Jamie Hunt which grill mate? as the top grill can't be removed unless its actually cut out, I believe the bottom ones comes out as the bumper is in two parts (one at the bottom below the fog lights) and above

This splitter ended up breaking on me, so I got one from triple r composites and the process of installing is the same but quality is alot better

yes it is easy to set off and yes it is petrol, however i have to be careful in rain because there is too much torque on the front end which makes it spin

How did you attach the middle of the splitter as no clearance underneath to get bolts on?

Rusty Phat I have drilled the holes through the 3 parts that that contact the car. how did u connect the bolts as you can't get to them due to bumper underneath is in the way with 3 screws. I removed them and still can't reach to get bolts in?

madmark when it is jacked up you can reach your arm over to put the bolt on, I didn't need to take the bumper off for it, i could fit my hand to the other side
