No doubt been sitting empty for weeks then you get next to no time to fit the kitchen. Tricky little detail in the corner well executed. I also noticed a bit more Dewalt creeping in. I use a lot of Dewalt. I know you have the dropsaw and the table saw. Generally Dewalt gear is reasonable and lasts a while it would seem. I would love one of the table saws but can't justify the cost. My old belt drive Elu from the eighties still works. It doesn't have a tilt blade function but I have managed all these years. Not keen on the colours of that kitchen. Each to their own.

Hi Dave🖐 Yeah, I've gone over to more DeWalt tools since I went onto their 54v platform, and agree that a lot of their gear is as good as anyone else's🤔Theres no one manufacturer who makes all of their tools the 'best', and each one has its strengths and weaknesses across its range👊Hope you are well mate, and thanks for another great comment🤗Cheers Del

I am about to start a similar fit for a client and the floors have been stone paved ,however ,the paving is running out to the walls by 70mm as the pavers have started in other rooms and accumulated error! I am now in a position where I may have to square the walls with battens ,re board then fit the kitchen as the pavers have shrugged and walked,and I can’t cut the units in as the worktops will then show the error ,really tricky but the craftsman in me can’t let the floor and kitchen run out of parallel to each other. Oh the joys

Just a question, I dont fit many kitchens really, i can fit them well, its just nott really second nature to me. My question is, when leveling the units, do you set bottom of cabinets at the height of your plinth and then set cabinets from the highest point in kitchen? Or do you level them to the standard worktop height (bottom edge) with a laser and cut the plinths down if needed. Im always questioning myself what is the best option.
@thetallcarpenter
@thetallcarpenter Жыл бұрын
Hi Chris🖐Yes is the answer to the 2nd part of your comment👍I find the point at which there is integrated appliances, and set the the top of the carcasess to this measurement. (the height of the plinth, plus the height of the unit, plus 5mm or more depending on the floor covering if it's not laid)I then set my laser level up to this and set all the other units to that👊Hope this helps😎Cheers Del
