why fight with superglue. Buy a can of hairspray at dollar general, it dries like lacquer, and you will be able to get the grips off someday, and clean the dried hair spray with alcohol when you want to put new grips on again. I just put heated grips on my gold wing GL 1800. I had to sand the throttle tube down with 120 sandpaper, are used hairspray to lube the install, and I still had to pound the grips on especially on the throttle side with a rubber mallet. I don’t think I’m ever going to get those groups off in one piece.. I may end up actually destroying the throttle tube when that time comes.
