Ian The handle holes with a minor modification to 1 side, you can join them all together & using the old wheel holes attach the carts to your frame. Also the gap down the other end well you could hang your vast collection of extension leads there, maybe a pull out made of plywood ?

You read my mind - the handle holes should work but I think the drawer rails are int he way but I will join them together somehow.

@@HomesteadingUncontained you should find their are a small leaver on each side that you have to realese to remove a draw.

Hello Both, all looking good, surprised you didn't leave the wheels on! much easier to move around if you needed to, also you would have been able to wheel them out into the garage with all the tools to hand you could have supported the worktop with the timber fixed to the back wall and the same at the front with timber uprights between he cabinets? Whatever works for you, Best wishes
@HomesteadingUncontained3 ай бұрын
I have had them on wheels up to now but they are pain as they push backwards even with the brakes on. I did it for more security as if I did have a break in then they can wheel them straight out the door. I will have one wheel one in the main garage when I get my auto tools down there.

The work bench build is great that butcher block was a fantastic idea. As for those little tractors, they are very capable I have a JD 1025R and I have to say they are extremely versatile and can do and handle more than you would think.

They had some big implements on the backs of them. They are a 1 tonne machine so heavier than my current Kubota.

Just my thoughts, but I would not buy a tractor with the R4 tyres for slippery, wet, muddy or grass work. Ideal for working on concrete but hopeless in the paddock. I chose the newer variety R14 radial tyres that are a good mix of the R1 and the R4. Plus being a radial you can run lower pressures to give a better footprint. Cheers Dave.
@HomesteadingUncontained3 ай бұрын
That is interesting - the agri tires I have really rip up the ground but as you say I have wet sloping grass. So if the R4's slip that will be no fun at all. They are much wider than the agri tires though - I will ask them to see what they can provide.
@duncanblanchard3343 ай бұрын
Are you getting a new tractor just for the grass cutting job, maybe try to regrade the slope or level it up with bastions to do away with the slope altogether. There’s never a easy answer. Not sure how good your French is, but it might be worth having a chat with your Mairie about things, they can sometimes surprise you with solutions you might not of thought of. All the best from a cloudy Creuse.
@HomesteadingUncontained3 ай бұрын
Not really just the grass - my Kubota is a little old and also the implements are too close to the tires - trying to find an extension to push them out further. So a new tractor was just a thought at the moment. Won't be an issue when we move there permanently and have some grass munchers 😀

Such a shame for the exhibitors and shortened our visit. The Med always seems to be warm and sunny.

The killer hybrid inverter is the xwpro schneider. The reason is it has a massive torroidal inductor that will surge to 12kW. I would not sell a kubota.
@HomesteadingUncontained3 ай бұрын
Looks good but a little pricey for me at the moment. I might keep the little orange tractor 👍
@draidangraham3 ай бұрын
Looking good 😁 Can't remember if I commented, Pete says the inverter won't work as intended, the lack of grid input will forever confuse the circuitry. He's more software than hardwire but suspect he might have a clue 👍
@HomesteadingUncontained3 ай бұрын
It is supposed to work off grid but as you say, they probably don't intend for it to be used like am using it. Cheers.

Hi Ian. Have you done something to the audio? Seems really muffled when you was talking, Julie was clear. Edited to add I think it's the Bluetooth mic. You was clearer when using camera mic
@HomesteadingUncontained3 ай бұрын
I know, so annoying. we upgrade our phones to iPhone 15 and the USB C inputs are limiting the audio. It is a known issue which I looked up. So will have to record audio on a different device for now.

Can I ask what hat laser are you using and would you buy it again? Looking for one for my hubby! Thanks
@HomesteadingUncontained3 ай бұрын
The one in the video is a Lasgoo. Works well but battery does not last long but there are two. I also have a Bosch laser which is excellent. Lasgoo is the cheaper option and does work well.

You are definitely better off to keep your Kubota. Less issues than the new ones.
@HomesteadingUncontained3 ай бұрын
I know but it is getting old now and the rear 3 point length is short meaning it catches on my implements - so it ws either modify it or go new....still deciding.
@williamfenner99153 ай бұрын
@@HomesteadingUncontained My suggestion is to stay away from any of the tractor's that require DEF. You going to be having issues with them about the regeneration on the tractor emissions. If you get a smaller one you'll be happy.

All wood products have tripled in price in America plus everything else in the last few years. For example bleach was a 1 dollar a gallon for the past 5 years and now over night 9 dollars a gallon.
