Ive got both showers . Cos I live in the backside of nowhere my central heating and hot water is via coal fed aga. Obviously not going to light that in summer so have elec shower and calor gas hob for summer use . Coal fired cooker in winter . Nice tidy job there . Cheers from a wet n windy Ireland 🇮🇪

That extended cold open had me thinking I’d missed the start. It’s like the bit at the beginning of a James Bond film … but with plumbing. The pipe centres are always 150mm … except for those blighters up on the Gates that are 140 just to be awkward!

Try that peel tec spray from ct1 for getting paint off pipe. Looks a pretty good painstripping spray. Looks like you were having fun last week 😂 be interesting to see what the next development in press is. I'm buying my own soldering kit next week one step closer for when I finish college next year. 😊

Stanley knife dragged sideways along the pipe is the easiest way of stripping paint from a pipe and then a quick rub with sand paper and or wire wool.

I've not seen a Triton electric shower with a rain head as well as a hand shower so I suspect it will only work with a 9.5 or higher as the throughput for a big rain head will be too small for an 8.5kw. Most showers have been installed with 8.5 so anything higher will need upgraded cable and a 45 or 50 RCD.

Had a plumber few years back charge me £120 Labour to change two mixer taps and a thermostatic shower mixer. Took him about 30 mins in all. Saw how easy it was and changed one of the taps myself the next time. I would urge people to try doing simple plumbing jobs themselves before being charged extortionate prices. Rant over, sorry.
