I graduated in Computer Science with long experience in networking technologies (WAN & LAN) I would like to contribute with my knowledge. I'd like to know how to apply for any opportunities to help the Falklands in this challenge to make the island completely connected.

I live in the UK and I love the Falklands a lot but I can’t imagine having a very slow or capped internet. I work from home for a London firm paying over 6 figures. I believe the Falklands should have a good internet service where someone can live in falklands and work remotely in the UK. This will bring a massive economic benefit to the island.

The government of the Islands is the only one to blame for this situation, having granted the monopoly to a company until December 31, 2027, and preventing the entry of companies like Starlink that would provide a definitive solution. It is clear that providing quality services to benefit certain interests is not among their priorities.

Starlink would work; however, the Falkland Islands government is charging residents £5,400 to get a license for Starlink.
