Magical beautiful Fitzroy. My ultimate even having been to Rarotonga and Fiji many times. Flipping heck go to Fitzroy stay a few nights or do a day trip...it's intoxicating

Fantastic island ... It's hard to believe it's just around the headland of Cairns. Seems a million miles away. Crystal clear water. Tip. Climb that mountain in the early morning as it's a very hard slog in the tropical heat. But well worth it. Rating. TEN out of TEN.

I was meant to stay 2 nights and 3 days at Fitzroy island & the resort I was very exited looking at awesome reviews although some were very bad reviews I thought I would end that feud were do I begin there is barely any sand mainly cover in dried out sharp coral and rock pieces the water is not what it looks like in pictures the water is green and not clear you can't swim in the water without wearing a a full body water suits cause of all the tiny dangerous jelly fish that sting my room was not ready till 3:30pm I arrived at 12pm like they told me too I there is no reception no way to get data there are 2 spots to get data and they are not in the rooms they don't have reliable wifi that docent work in the room and also is an extra cost to buy wifi I was staying in a 1 bedroom sweet with a coach that turns into a bed I walked in checked it out it looked fine to me from a distance until I noticed the shower pressure was like droplets there was mold and gunk in the shower on the floors and on the walls the bathroom stinks there are yellow orange mold stains inside the toilet there are so many lizards spiders and other big bugs in the room I couldnt stay any longer I caught the 5pm boat ride home this is disgusting and very shocking don't be fooled like I was I waisted my time and money on a joke no wonder why they don't do REFUNDS there is so much more I could go on about but I don't want to waste my time talking about a joke of a CATFISHED ILAND before you old Karens try to attacked me its my opinion
