I hosted a Survivor on Minecraft where I implemented the Abstain to Gain but at one tribal council. Thing is I never announced it. There was an exile island type twist where one person each round got an advantage of knowledge and that person was told “at the merge round, anybody that abstains from voting will get an extra vote to use in the future” and the news spread like a wildfire to the point where 4 people abstained and a member of the majority got overthrown! It was so cool to watch and I’d love to see it in Survivor!

A similar thing like Tether and wither is actually done almost in every recent french survivor season. It is basically what you suggested (pairs and paired immunity/paired idols) but with the entire pair getting voted out if one of them is. Don't get me wrong, french survivor has a lot of dumb twists but this one often forces alliance members to turn on each other.

That tether and wither twist was something I used in my org at the final 8 and 2 idols canceled all the votes and left 2 people eligible to get votes. The revote tied and it went to firemaking

As an ORG player there is another twist I would like to be implemented to the show that I think could be really fun. The 2-Urns twist, where there are 2 Urns at tribal council, and you decide which Urn to put your vote into. The person with the most votes in both urns are both voted out. It adds an extra layer of strategy I feel to the ORGs i have played and can be used as ways for the bottom to make moves against the top.

I’m one of the hosts of Twistvivor and played 3 seasons before becoming host (won Allstars lol). The abstain twist caused a super wack vote out in Allstars, as 7-10 (can’t remember) people abstained, causing a power player to be voted out that tribal with 2 votes. Absolutely wild twist.

Advantage played before the vote: Makes 1 player have to vote first and reveal their vote. Advantage played during vote: All votes are read before that player has to vote. Could also reveal who voted for who. Passive Advantage: If someone is voted out, you get any advantages they had. Idol: Cancels X votes, but 1 less each tribal. (ex. 5 initially, then 4 then 3 then 2 then 1 then dead - (X-# of Tribals)) Captains pick the other team. Advantage played during vote: Bank votes by not voting. No upper limit to number of votes you can back and use. Advantage played during vote: Bet your next vote on knowing the exact outcome of the votes (or who's going home but hat seems too easy). Reward could be extra vote or something else.

How about these ideas: * The Spoiler: At an individual immunity challenge, there is an extra person/condition added to the challenge. If this extra person wins or the extra condition is not met by anyone, nobody wins immunity * One World 2.0: During the premerge, the tribes change every round, via methods chosen by production (so it could be by gender, name, brain v brawn, random, individual, etc.)

I think Zombie idol would work better if it counted down. So blocks 4 then 3 then 2 then 1. Or starts at 6 or whatever, depending on when in game. It's a lot more powerful early but more useful later and tougher to decide when to play.

I thin a really interesting twist would be the"joker" player, which was used in swedish survivor. The twist is that the day of the merge a new player is added to the game. I think it's interesting because it can change the whole stratigic game which was used until then! I mean, a new player can change the numbers of the alliances.

The idol nullifier is a crazy advantage, and it is in my opinion WAY to hard to predict even though it hasn’t failed. I have another idea of how to use it: You play the advantage after someone plays an idol instead of before, BUT, the nullifier blocks that idol, and only that one. So another can be played for the same person and still count. So it’s easier to use the nullifier, but it is also counterable. Example: I use an idol on myself, someone uses their nullifier on me, the idol is nulled, but I play my second one on myself and all the votes cast for me don’t count. I think this is better

@@ajflo I think it should never be brought back again actually as it is an objectively bad advantage. There's 2 scenarios that will typically occur: - Idol Nullifier ends up in the hands of the people running the game and is used to doom the underdog (like was the case in IotI's gut wrenching Janet elimination) - Idol Nullifier ends up in the hands of the underdogs and proves to be absolutely useless because the underdog don't have the numbers anyway (like was the case for Parvati in WaW) The only exception so far has been David vs Goliath, where the underdogs (the Davids) successfully made use of it, but only with the help of another advantage that gave them the numbers (a Vote Steal). The Idol Nullifier is the kind of advantage that actively creates bad tv and will only have a positive impact in very specific scenarios that occur once in a blue moon.

Jeff actually clarified this after Survivor: David vs Goliath! This got brought up when Karl used the idol nullifier against Dan to get him out. The tribal before, Dan had 2 idols but used 1 on Angelina. Jeff was asked what would have happened if Dan still had possession of both idols during his vote out and said that he could have used the second one to save himself since the nullifier only nullifies 1 idol. This is also clarified on the survivor wiki!

in my opinion, the worst item or twist to date and should never be present again in any shape or form is the idol nullifier. why? 1. because its obvious ppl will use it on the player they are voting out that night. no suspense and strategy for audience to be guessing here. 2. it basically just threw away the sweats and effort the player gave just to get the immunity idol especially if he's playing as an underdog against the majority alliance. 3. it's just plain stupid and no one wants to see it again

A twist of my creation that I would like to be used on Survivor is called "Pick your poison". It allows the user to secretly choose another player to choose one of 3 penalties (sit out the next 2 immunity challenges, lose your vote for 2 tribals, or sacrifice an idol/another advantage)

I have three of my own advantages I use in my seasons, 2 of which are similar to these. 1. Similar to the Zombie Idol, is called a Negate 1 Vote Idol. Basically one vote for a person is negated at each tribal (it gets taken out of the urn) and then when they play the idol, one vote still counts for each negated vote. It also doesn't give Immunity for ties/ rock draws, however it does still work on ties. Basically in a 3-3 (with say 4 negated votes) tie, if someone played it, then if one person flipped it would cause a rock draw, as a 3-3 tie with 2 negated votes. The Rock draw doesn't matter too much but comes up occasionally. 2. Instead of a full public vote, one person gets to see who voted for who after Tribal Council (this could be used as something told to a castaway in a confessional for a main season). 3. The Advantage Warp. It negates all advantages (and idols played) at one tribal, however, you play it similarly to the Idol Nullifier. In the one season I used it in, someone played a 50/50 coin (that was immune to being negated), which was traded with a member of the opposing alliance for a double idol. This lead to one alliance putting 7 votes to be negated, whilst the minority 6 played the coin on the target (which was told to them by the 7th in the other alliance), and split the votes 1-1-1-1-1-1 in case any other immune to nullifying advantages were played. The double idol got played, then negated, and resulted in the person who traded the coin for the double idol getting blindsided

i have personally played twistvivor before! i actually made the logo you showed in this video :D! abstaining to get an extra vote has been a twist in quite a few twistvivor seasons and it can change the dynamics so much if used effectively. it’s a twist from the org i really like! i think any survivor fan should try and play orgs at least once, they’re super fun and sometimes have really good twists

I think that the Zombie Idol isn't really fair. For me it is more impressive when someone can keep their Idol for a long time, now it wouldn't benefit them, cuz later the idol might not be helpful enough. It is a bit simmilar to EoE where people voted off early had advantage over those who made it very far. Like how Natalie could have gather so many fire tokens and advantages while Parvati and Yul just got ther before Challenge. I would argue that reveres twist is way more interesting. You hide something that doesn't have any pover at starting camps at 18/20 players and each round it gets more poverful with it's peak let's say at 10. And it becomes normal Idol or even super Idol. Then again people like Denise/Kass or Shan would have to survive so many tribal councils while people from tribes who never lost would jut get this idol, but I still think is't fair.

Some interesting ideas here. Decaying idol: Cool. Feels pretty in line with all the other ways they've been experimenting with idols, and I wouldn't mind seeing it. There's a lot of potential for strategy in rounds where the idol won't negate all the votes, especially with the chance to lie to other players about how long you've held it (and therefore how many votes it'll actually negate). Tether and wither: Could be cool. Bit confusing though, and would take a lot of time in the episode to explain how all it works. But there is potential for good content. Kidnapping variant: Sure, I guess. Not too impactful, but could lead to fun interactions in a more natural setting than shipwheel island. Public tribal: Pointless. It's almost always clear who votes who anyway, or at least can usually be figured out easily enough after tribal. When there is an unknown, there's drama because people don't know, which this advantage only eliminates. So it's unlikely to have any impact, and if it does it's more likely than not to be a negative one. I see very few circumstances where this brings anything good. Abstain to Gain: Love it. I'd totally be down to see this implemented for a whole season, and maybe stick around past that. Adds a layer of strategy with lots of implications, and all relies on players correctly guessing how the current vote will go and how much they might need an extra vote for the next one. So many opportunities for good chaos (like the Jenny tribal) and innovative strategy.

A twist I thought of is the "switch up idol". Rather than nullifying votes, it allows the person playing it to switch votes casted with another player. Any votes for them count for the other player, and any votes cast for the other player count for them. It allows the possibility of throwing a lot of votes to someone with none, but if played wrong, it could throw votes on the player using it.

I guess the only issue with that is it kind of rewards a person on the bottom essentially with the ability to take out whoever they want. Unless it was revealed publicly of course.

Thether and wither is dangerous: if there are four idols in play, plus the challenge winners, it may end up with all of the ten players immune. With three idols it may end up with just two people being non immune.

My problem with the zombie idol is that it incentivizes not looking for it early, because the second you pick it up it starts going bad. I’d rather see players seek them out early so that they are more willing to make aggressive moves

Haven't watched the video yet, but I wanna bring up a couple of crazy ideas I have.. 1. The Dueling Staff: One is hidden at each tribe camp before the Merge. If one is played before a challenge, the holder's tribe automatically loses Immunity, and the holder must choose one other tribemate to compete against for individual Immunity. If both are played, the holders duel for Tribal Immunity like a Hero Duel. 2. Cosmic Idols: This should be used in an All-Star season to tie in with the theme, and with a much larger cast. On a separate island are twelve Cosmic Idols named after a zodiac sign, and it can only be played in secret while casting your vote. There are six pairs of opposite idols. They are: Aries and Libra Taurus and Scorpio Gemini and Sagittarius Cancer and Capricorn Leo and Aquarius Virgo and Pisces In the rare case that two opposite idols are played at the same Tribal Council, they will add a vote instead of negate votes. Yeah, those ideas were a bit too crazy and will likely never be used. Especially the second one.

For the public tribal, I propose not having Jeff read the votes out. Instead you have the cast members state out loud who each of them voted for and none of them can change their vote. The name that they say must match up to what they wrote down. So not only will you have it exposed if someone turns on someone else, you have the extra layer of drama of that person openly having to admit to it themselves. No chance to hide but also immediate drama based on reactions. It would be more impactful coming from the person.

There is this one twist I play with call Duos Dilemma Where to order to get a idol you to correctly vote off your Duo For Example:Shane and Aubrey are a duo and later on Aubrey was successfully able to Vote off Shane and now she has the idol If you duo goes home but you didn't vote for them you don't idol But the idol only lasts the same amount that vote that your Duo got voted out with For Example: Aubrey and four other was able to get Shane out so now Aubrey now have that idol for 5 rounds (That a twist that I really enjoy and I thought it have layers of strategy and I play with it twice and no this was on Instagram Survivor Call Survivor Conquest)

Ummm apparently you can't do maths. If 2 tribe has 4 and one has 6 you take 2 from the 6 and put them on each of the 4 now one has 4 but the other two have 5 each so not even.

The people are taken from the tribe, placed on another tribe BUT don't compete in the challenge. So the challenge numbers are all even 4 for the tribe with 6 originally, the tribe of 4 (with the kidnapped person sitting out) and again the other tribe of 4 (with the other kidnapped person sitting out) 4-4-4.

Here's an idea: 3 ppl have to make a decision at a summit whether it's in the 1st challenge of the game like in 42 with the Amulet Advantage or at a Shipwheel Island/Card Trade Island meetup and the catch is that the 3 of them can earn an extra vote but it comes at a cost of 2 of them not voting at a tribal council that they attend (not necessarily the 1st tribal they attend but any tribal they attend) and no, the same person can't choose to not vote at multiple tribal councils to activate it... it has to be 2 different ppl choosing not to vote and giving up one's vote for a Shot in the Dark won't count towards activating it. Thoughts?
