Yeah, but when people are in this type of situations. Loneliness gets the best of them. They were each other’s means for survival. They were each other’s only support emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually for 7 years. They didn’t know if they would ever come back to their timeline. They bonded in a special way, I mean they were being hunted, stabbed at, shot at in other timelines they were just happy to make it out of alive with fight/flight environment like this it breeds romantic entanglements. A constant environment of fight or flight gives you a heightened amount of dopamine and cortisol in your body. Top that all with the loneliness, being attractive and craving of physical touch will lead anyone not blood related to have a physical response to the other person’s touch. Not including the emotional, mental and spiritual bond they formed. It would be more unbelievable if they didn’t have a romantic feelings for one another at the end of it all. Riverdale is different they had other people around to date. Lila and Five were stranded for almost a decade by themselves with no hope of ever seeing another person that wasn’t from a crazy timeline that was trying to kill them.

Thats the whole point of dolores. 2) as grown as he is mentally hormone wise he’s still young. Ultimately though 1) he would have never gotten on the train with lila alone with no backup plan when he didn’t know what the place was in the first place. And 2) the main issue more than that icky relationship happening, is that in the finale that was given more priority over HIS FAMILY. When his character has ALWAYS put his family first. Especially hiding it from her also was against their own narrative because if he loved her why would he hide the way back from her when he KNOWS how painful it feels better than anyone??? Just bad writing and it contradicts itself. Him and Diego not having a scene to makeup or talk about it before they died was the worst part too when the show has always been about the siblings’ bonds over any romance.

I love how British she is, I’ve watched many British comedies and they always have the bags of stuff to make comedy work which are often missing from the ones in the US like the realism and grit of the world, and her character just does it perfectly, it was so refreshing to see because we’re not use to this type of comedy in the US, the last thing we had that was close was the office. I have a feeling they allowed the actor to write her own sarcastic comebacks, I truly don’t think an American writer could have wrote the way her British sarcastic ass would be, i think a lot of this would have been her own input and it paid off massively because her scenes with five were always amazing.

In season 4, Lila the chaotic super girl became the daily soap heroine. She was like my husband doesn't say I miss you every day so it's ok to cheat him. Five was the most sensible character from the beginning he was totally detached from the world drama after living in Apocalypse suddenly he just want to pluck strawberries with Lila. How can someone ruin a show like this? Klaus became comic relief. Allison and Luther got upgrade for a single hit. Diego as usual. Viktor power was sound energy suddenly it became hand blast whatever. Ruining five like this was worst one for me

That would've been preferred probably. felt like wasted angst and never eally got a resolution before the end. . I think this would've been a fine romance if they had had diego and her break up during the multiple years between season 3 and 4's start. If they broke up off panel, because BOTH of them are adrenline junkies and life is boring. Then they had the 7 year gap in the subway. That would've been fine. Honestly diego being extra adrenline junky and her wanting to retire would make sense. Fact is they really were the only two that dealt with some really specific experiences. Including both of them wanting a normal life, but both awkknowding they aren't a good fit. Diego wanting excitment, lila wanting retirment, leading to their break up, then years later five and her finding a retirment because they both know its bad fits but two bad fits worked out. Five himself shows how much he chilled out between seasons, where he had no powers. and had enough time to proccess. and no apoclypses.. he had like 3+ in under amonth but having the whole sequence was just messy.

Unpopular opinion but I saw their chemistry from a mile way, way before s4. I shipped them as I shipped Diego and her (a little more with 5 because I love his character more). Aidan is such an amazing actor that I have completely detached him from his character, when he is 5 i don’t see Aidan I see the adult 5. That’s why I don’t see their romance as weird.
